Planning Your Ideal Deram Vacation: Tips and Tricks

At some point of their lives, everyone dreams of going on a vacation. If you are really exhausted with your day-to day life and just need a rest and booking a relaxing vacation is one the best idea. Everyone wants their dream vacation to be the best time of their lives. Some people really enjoy planning their trip whereas for others it’s a worst nightmare. The process of planning does not just involves selecting the destination but also the rigorous hard work that goes behind on researching and planning for it. But believe me or not, once you have cracked how to do it correctly the process of planning a vacation can be delightful. According to Nomadic Matt, “Trip planning can be a daunting task. Where do you begin? What’s step one? What’s step two? What’s step three? It’s easy to get overwhelmed, especially when you haven’t done something like this before”. However, when you actually sit down to plan your trip there are several aspects that should be taken into consideration in order to experience a pleasant trip and trouble-free planning process. Here are few tips that will help to convert your plan into reality:

The first step is to decide where to go. While thinking about this, the whole world map comes in front of your eyes. This is probably the toughest part in the planning process. The easiest way is to choose top three destinations that you have always dreamt of visiting. Note down things that you want to include in your vacation: activities you want to do, most suitable weather conditions, whom to travel with, your preferred mode of travel etc. For example: If you live in USA, flight ticket to Boracay will be exorbitant. Instead buy tickets for Hawaii. By deciding these points, it will eventually help you shortlist and select your best possible destination. It should match your interests. It’s better to be really coherent on this step because it will help you to rectify any complications beforehand.

Once you have decided where you want to go, the next step is to determine and set a budget. Ask yourself these important questions, how much do you want to spend on this vacation? Do you want it to be a lavish and relaxing one or a pocket friendly cheap trip? Do you want to plan it yourself or hire a travel agent? Think of all these questions and it will definitely help you narrow down your mind. For instance, a Europe trip is much more expensive than a trip to Bali. If you want a budget friendly destination, then Bali is the place for you. While researching about budget, don’t forget to compare flight/bus tickets, hotel accommodations, local fares. Travel and food will be the primary deciding factors to finalize a budget.

The next task is to select your travel dates and the length of your trip. Every destination has a best time to travel. Be flexible with your dates. Make sure you research thoroughly. This can vary according to your personal preferences or the weather conditions of your desired destination. For example – if I want to visit India, I would not go during the monsoon season because monsoons in India are the worst. It is really a bad idea to do so. Hence, I would rather go during the summers. Make sure to get time off from your workplace beforehand so that you can plan accordingly. One of the biggest mistakes people tend to do is they schedule something or the other on each day of the vacation that it gets very exhausting by the end of second or third day. Realistically it’s not possible. We want our trip to be memorable and fun and not tiring right. Once you have it decided, start saving up money and you are ready to go.

People usually tend to forget important documents, Passport and Visa. Make sure you have them ready. Planning in advance and being flexible is really helpful. Making a checklist and packing bags one week prior to the schedule is necessary so that you don’t miss out anything important. Once you are done planning everything just sit back and relax. Planning your dream vacation can be a tedious task but once you’ve decided everything it is easier and less stressful. It’s better to have it ready beforehand rather than stressing out at last minute. Getting familiarized with the planning process will also help you in your future plans as well. In this way you can have your dream vacation turn into a reality!
