A Modest Proposal For Ending Illegal Immigration Into The United States
Intro: President Donald Trump has set a secure message to all potential illegal immigrants. Meaning, if you were to cross into American illegally and get caught, you will be jailed up to six months and face deportation afterwords. If you get caught with a child, they will be separated from you the entire incineration. In order to solve America’s illegal immigration problem, I have a soultion. The United States Border Patrol issues a kill command. Any Border Potrol agent who suspects illegal immigration activity, is ordered to shoot on the spot.
Our nation's illegal immigration problem is at its worst ever. What if another country began invading America? Our immediate reaction would be to be defended by all means necessary. Illegal immigrants come to the United States with intentions to steal our jobs and access government assistance. While undocumented immigrants continue to steal American jobs, it leaves American citizens jobless and potentially homeless. Imagine you’re a single parent, working paycheck to paycheck, barely being able to afford housing and food for your children. You go into work that next morning and your boss releases you from the company. Turns out, an illegal immigrant replaced you. Now you can't afford shelter or food for your own children.
The United States spends billions of tax dollars each year to capture and deport these illegal immigrants. The average bullet costs twenty one cents, therefore, with a kill command policy the U.S. would save millions of dollars that could be used for securing our southern border. With this policy in place, illegal immigrants would realize that they’re risking death for a very slim chance of successfully crossing into America. Border Agents would be granted access to shoot and kill every illegal immigrant that steps one foot on U.S. ground. Gruesome and heartless is the only way illegal immigrants would understand that the United States isn't playing around when it comes to coming into the country.
Gaining citizenship from one country to another is a lengthy and thorough process. One possible way to help immigrants gain that citizenship would be making that process easier. America is a place for growth and warm welcomes. We are all humans, who want the best for ourselves and our families. The U.S. can make improvements at its borders to stop additional illegal immigration. For example, adding physical barriers, upgraded technology, and superior training for those border patrol agents. American tax dollars could be put to better use by ensuring technology to detect illegal crossings.
