What Is God: My Personal Faith Reflection
In work "My Personal Faith Reflection Essay" we will talk about what is God is for all of us and what he gives and needs to us. Many of us grew up doubting the love of God for us because of the trials and challenges he gave us along the way. Failures and downfall or even our own bad choices lead us to doubt why God would choose to love us if He would just make people suffer. But then I realised that He won’t give us a challenge that we cannot overcome. That every challenges and trials have their own different purpose, to strengthen our faith with him, the Creator. God is love and He loves us. We know that in our minds and hearts, but often we don’t live that way. I have been experiencing the marvels of God’s goodness since I was born, or maybe even when I was not born yet. God did not allow any birth defect to happen to me. He gave me a happy and wonderful childhood with tons of good memories. He blessed me with the gifts of wisdom, intelligence, talents, and skills. He provided me with a healthy mind and body.
God has been doing great wonders and I have been experiencing it every moment of my fifteen years of existence. The miracle of waking up every morning, learning new things, meeting new people, experiencing different emotions — all these are manifestations of God’s impeccable design specially made for each one of us.
I cannot really say that I have been an excellent Bedan spiritually. This is because I am only human and I commit sin every so often. Nonetheless, I am doing my best to be at my best spiritually. I see to it that I am getting my daily dose of spiritual inspiration through meditation and prayer. I also make sure that I do not miss the Sunday Mass and read the Bible in my spare time.
If I were to write something about me and God, it would be about how He moved me and changed my life. To be able to write something about how God touched your life, you must really be inspired by Him so I would see to it that I am really inspired enough before I start writing anything. I would start by narrating the kind of life that I have prior to my conversion. I would compare and contrast the kind of life without Him and with Him.
I would write so that my work will be an inspiration to others. I would like to be God’s instrument such that by putting my personal experiences into writing, I would also move and change the lives of the readers the same way God did to me. I may not have the best stories to tell but I have a stories that brings out the best in anyone I encounter.
There are a lot of things in life that I truly appreciate, but the one that I am most thankful for is my family. I thank God for giving me a very loving and caring family. He gave me responsible, understanding, and supportive parents who provide me with the things that I need, both material and non-material. He also gave me siblings who are kind, thoughtful, and fun to be with.
Another thing that I am most thankful for are the continuous blessings that me and my family receive. I thank God for giving us a comfortable home to shelter us, money to buy the things we want and need, and many other material things that a person needs to have the life that he deserves. But more importantly, I am thankful for the non-material blessings that I receive. Among these are our family’s source of living and the opportunity to have a good education. “And so we know and rely on the love God has for us. God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in them”.
