A Report On Balloon Dogs By Jeff Koons

I am writing about balloon dogs. The artist is Jeff Koons. Jeff Koons is known for his brightly colored reflective sculptures that resemble balloons. One of Jeff Koons pieces were sold for about 98. 4 million dollars. Jeff Koons was born January 21,1955. He was born in York, Pennsylvania. He made a name for himself with his art from made out of everyday objects. At a really young age Jeff Koons had a really big taste in all kinds of art. Jeff Koons started selling his art work at eight years old. When he made his first piece of big art at nine years old his dad put it in shop window to get more business for himself. When Jeff Koons was a little kid he made money by going around and asking people if they wanted candy ( as they called it back then sweets) and he would ask people if they wanted to buy gift wrap. Jeff Koons did not get it easy when he was a little boy because he had to work for what he wanted. He didn't just get what he asked for he had to earn his own pocket money. He made a name for himself with his art made from everyday objects. At a really young age Jeff Koons had a really big taste in all kinds of art. Jeff Koons started selling his art work at eight years old. When he made his first piece of big art at nine years old his dad put it in shop window to get more business for himself. In 1975 Jeff Koons enrolled in the school of the Art Institute of Chicago. He used to stretch the canvases so tight that most of the time is fingers would bleed really bad. He didn't want to stay in Chicago for a long time because one day he heard a song on the radio. After hearing this song he moved to New York and became part of the cultural scene really fast. In the middle of the 1980 ́s Jeff Koons hard work was really paying off for him. He began having more people wanting his artwork. When people started wanting his work he made a factory style house. When he set up this factory he needed lots of assistants to help him with all this artwork so he could get it done quicker. He began the piece by working with a balloon designs to create an original model of the stone venus from a single balloon. He made his balloon dogs out of monumental sculptures. They were made from precision engineered mirror polished stainless steel and finished with a transparent coating of either blue, magenta, orange, red and or yellow. The colors he used meant a different thing to his art. After some time, Jeff Koons got a job working at a membership desk at the Museum of Modern Art. He would wear a big bow tie with a polka dot shirt with an inflatable plastic flower. He would only do this to draw attention to himself. Jeff Koons does not do all this hard work by himself. He has more than 100 employees that help him with all his pieces. Until this day Jeff Koons is still one of the most famous artists in the world and his artwork sells for millions of dollars. He made the cover for one of Lady Gaga's albums.

One of his pieces were sold for $58,405,000. 00 dollars. With this piece it was one of the pieces that hit the world record. Jeff Koons was really happy that the piece made the world record. The piece that was sold for a world record amount of money was a balloon dog and it was orange. The reason Jeff Koons made the balloon dogs is because he said it represents humans how we inhale and exhale. Jeff Koons says that breathing is a symbol of life. Jeff Koons believes that exhaling is a death sign, but when you inhale it ́s the sign of you living a whole healthy life. All of this means that the reason he makes the balloons dogs is because he thinks that balloons are a sign of life and therefore he likes making them. All of his balloon dogs have a meaning. You can tell what the meaning is by the color of the balloon. A red balloon dog means a life of a child who ́s dreams are undone and the child's dreams were on the end of a red balloon.
