From the experiences, I have learned that the most important role of a leader in an organization is to help the employees improve productivity and performance of the organization. The success of the team lies in the hands of a leader. It is hence very essential for a leader in an organization to be efficient so that he or she is able to effectively manage the team.

Evaluating my leadership skills, I believe I am strong in terms of adaptability. Adaptable leaders are not hesitant to get their hands filthy. People who can adjust to change have incredible relationship building abilities and balance under strain. I’m also a team-oriented individual which is an essential trait to guide and support the entire team. To continue developing and improving in the hospitality industry, being passionate can make a huge difference. Passion appears as vitality, excitement, kindness, and other characteristics that will make a difference for you and your guests. Hence, it’s important to remember it takes practice and commitment to become an effective leader. “Becoming a leader is a marathon and not a sprint. It takes time and effort to develop effective leadership skills”. With this in mind, I am more driven to focus on other skills such as creativity, intellectual drive and knowledge, and other business skills that will generally help me move up the ladder and achieve highest-ranking corporate title in the future. As a current General Manager in my organisation, I’ve realized that despite of reaping a successful record of success as a leader, I choose not to become complacent as it’s important to never stop learning and striving to improve yourself. No matter how successful you become, there’s always more to learn, so live, study, and continue to improve your skills ceaselessly.  

At the end, I can conclude by summarising on that leaders are born, not made. Now in our organisation all the leaders are well educated and properly trained. They have got the knowledge to handle the critical situations. Most organisations focuses on main diversity initiatives and it can tackle through behavioural approach of leadership. The quality of the leader is very important. The success of the company is fully depending on the good quality of the leader.
