Benefits Of Positive Attitude In Daily Life

Having a good attitude makes your day a whole lot easier. Attitude is key when you are working in law enforcement or in everyday lives. Attitude is to be used in everyday lives and in law enforcement agencies. Attitude is a person’s way of acting towards himself and others typically someone’s reflection towards others. 1660s, via French, attitudine 'disposition, posture,' also 'aptness, promptitude,' from Late Latin. The posture of a figure in a statue or painting; later generalized to 'a posture of the body supposed to imply some mental state'. Sense of 'settled behavior reflecting feeling or opinion' is first recorded 1837. Connotations of 'antagonistic and uncooperative' developed by 1962 in slang.

In the late 1700 the French began using the word attitude in official businesses. In the field of being a police officer having a good attitude makes a good impression on everyday citizens and has people to understand that police officers aren’t bad yet instead they all believe that police officers are here to help people and not harm people. Police officer stress leads to negative attitudes, burnout, loss of enthusiasm and commitment (cynicism), increased apathy, substance abuse problems, divorce, health problems and many other social, personal, and job-related problematic behaviors. Complicating these conditions is a police culture of silence and lack of direction in action to address individual problems before they escalate to disciplinary action, legal liability, or result in harm to others.

In the world of a corrections officer your first year is being able to set a good attitude for you and for your fellow officers as well as the inmates. As a first-year cadet, you are undoubtedly experiencing what may be deemed surreal experiences in your new criminal justice system role. Basically if you don’t have a good attitude in how you work you won’t be able to enjoy your life. One imperative support mechanism to survive and enable carrying on with duty fulfillment is attitude. Attitude is a psychological construct, they are complex and an acquired state through experiences. It is an individual's predisposed state of mind regarding a value and it is precipitated through a responsive expression towards a person, place, thing, or event which in turn influences the individual's thought and action. Prominent psychologist described this latent psychological construct as 'the most distinctive and indispensable concept in contemporary.

Attitude can have so many different meanings and the people who use them have different definitions of attitude. Having a positive attitude and working with a good attitude and spreading good attitude can make yourself happy and others happy, also it makes everyone feel good about themselves. That you usually have about something, especially when this is shown in your behaviour. Attitude influences an individual's choice of action, and responses to challenges, incentives, and rewards. Four major components of attitude are:

1) Affective: emotions or feelings.

2) Cognitive: belief or opinions held consciously.

3) Conative: inclination for action.

4) Evaluative: positive or negative response to stimuli.

Attitudes structure can be described in terms of three components. Affective component: this involves a person’s feelings / emotions about the attitude object. Behavioral component: the way the attitude we have influences how we act or behave. Cognitive component: this involves a person’s belief / knowledge about an attitude object. If an attitude has a high self-interest for a person (i.e. it is held by a group the person is a member of or would like to be a member of, and is related to a person's values), it is going to be extremely important. As a consequence, the attitude will have a very strong influence upon a person's behavior. By contrast, an attitude will not be important to a person if it does not relate in any way to their life. Attitudes based on direct experience are more strongly held and influence behavior more than attitudes formed indirectly. Having an attitude is good and bad. A settled way of thinking or feeling about someone or something, typically one that is reflected in a person's behavior.

To have an attitude is a little difficult to define. A negative attitude is a disposition, feeling, or manner that is not constructive, cooperative, or optimistic. It can affect anyone, just about anywhere. For some of us, it's at home. Perhaps you know of someone who has a bad attitude about doing chores. Or maybe it's happened to you at work. Affective component: this involves a person's feelings / emotions about the attitude object. Cognitive component: this involves a person's belief / knowledge about an attitude object. Most of the time growth and understanding persuades our attitude about a specific thing or topic. When we are enlightened or educated about something or someone any negative or pessimistic attitude we carried transforms into a more positive one.

A positive attitude helps you cope more easily with the daily affairs of life. It brings optimism into your life, and makes it easier to avoid worries and negative thinking. If you adopt it as a way of life, it would bring constructive changes into your life, and makes them happier, brighter and more successful. Positive mindset helps you to seek happiness, health and a happy ending regardless of the situation. Lots of successful people have recognized the positivity as the key to success. Power of positivity may change your personal and professional life. Thus, in the tough situations, people ask you to think positive. Not a soul is impervious to have attitude problems. Although, a bad attitude is a fixable behavior but we can't identify our own attitude problems easily. The worst thing about having a bad attitude is that most people with the wrong attitude don't realize that their attitude is unprofessional and unneeded.
