Biography Of Albert Einstein And His Major Accomplishments
“Imagination is more important than knowledge. Knowledge is limited. Imagination encircles the world.” is a quote by Albert Einstein. Albert Einstein is a very well known scientist that pretty much discovered the science behind life. On March 14, 1879, he was born in Wurttemberg, Germany. His dad, Herman Einstein, was a salesman and an engineer.
Albert Einstein’s mom, Pauline Einstein, was a stay at home mom. He was the only child which means he had no brothers and sisters. It’s interesting that his parents were non-practising jews but he went to a Catholic school. (Albert Einstein) As he grew older, he didn’t know what religion he believed in but many people called him an atheist and he hated when he was called that.
Overall, his childhood was normal for that day and age. Albert Einstein went to many different schools. The first school he attended was the Luitpold Gymnasium. (Nobel Prize) A few years later, Albert Einstein and his family moved to Italy. There, he went to school in Aarau, Switzerland. (Nobel Prize) After that, he attended the Swiss Federal Polytechnic school in Zurich. He went there to be taught to be a teacher of physics and mathematics. (Nobel Prize) In 1901, he achieved Swiss citizenship and received his diploma.
Sadly, he couldn’t find a teaching job so he became the technical assistant in the Swiss Patent Office. Later on, he did get a job as a teacher.
Obviously, while Albert Einstein was a kid, he never stayed in one spot for very long because his parents were frequently on the move.Later on in his life, Albert Einstein married Mileva Maric in January of 1903. They had met each other in college in Zurich. About a year before they were married, they had a daughter named Liesel. Nobody even knew she existed until 1986 when they found a letter between her parents. Nobody knows much about her. The couple also had two other kids. (Biography.YourDictionary) Their names were Hans and Eduard. Albert and Mileva Einstein were married for about nine years until they got divorced. (Biography.YourDictionary) They got divorced because Albert Einstein had an affair with his first cousin, Elsa Lowenthal, while he was away at college. (Biography.YourDictionary) At this point, Mileva Einstein was at home with the kids.
Shortly after Albert and Mileva Einstein were divorced, Elsa and Albert got married. The two of them were happily married for seventeen years until Elsa got sick and died in December of 1936.
Albert Einstein had a very interesting love life. His relationship with his kids was pretty great as well. Albert Einstein had so many hobbies. A few of those include sailing, playing the violin, and building houses out of cards. When he was a kid, his parents made him play the violin and he really disliked it. He built houses of cards to get out of playing the violin. One time, he built a house out of cards that was fourteen stories high! (sites.google) When he was thirteen, he decided that he liked playing the violin. Actually, he said he would have become a musician if he hadn’t became a physicist.
Albert Einstein had some weird habits. Some of those include never combing his hair, never wearing socks, and obsessive smoking. He said “Why wear socks and shoes when one of them would do just fine?”. Also, he said “I believe that pipe smoking contributes to a somewhat calm and objective judgement in all human affairs.”. (sites.google) Another hobby that he had was reading classic books. Albert Einstein had many hobbies.Albert Einstein had many major accomplishments. He gave empirical evidence for the Atomic Theory. Also, he determined how many atoms are in each molecule and named it Avogadro's Number. This theory allows scientists to look at and count the atoms through a normal microscope.
Another accomplishment was proposing the Theory of Relativity. Also, he solved the riddle of the Photoelectric Effect. His most famous accomplishment was the equation E=mc2. This equation predicted the equivalence of mass (m) and energy (e) and the speed of light (c) in vacuum. (learnodo-newtonic) Also, there was the Bose-Einstein condensate. Some more of his major accomplishments include receiving the Nobel Prize in Physics in 1921 and his work profounding for reaching implications. Albert Einstein had many major accomplishments. One of the huge things Albert Einstein did was co-created the atomic bomb during WWII. Some people say that Albert Einstein had dyslexia. Actually, he didn’t speak until he was at the age of three. (dyslexia) Also, he struggled a lot in school. Some of those include him having an unusually large head at birth, Galileo Galilei was his favorite scientist, and he never knew how to swim even though he loved to sail. (the factfile) One that really surprised me was when he was married to his cousin, he had connections with six other women.
Albert Einstein was a very interesting man. Albert Einstein was a very important man in our history. He accomplished many great things that most of us couldn’t even dream of. It’s amazing how he came up with all of the scientific theories that he did. Albert Einstein was not your typical scientist. The weeks and weeks on end spent coming up with all these theories really payed off. What is so awesome is that he never gave up on fulfilling his dream. So many people told him that he would never accomplish anything and he ignored all of them. Everybody should try to be the kind of person he was. He definitely left his footprint on the earth. Albert Einstein had a very successful life. He went to many different schools and got many big jobs. He had two pretty long marriages and children from both of them.
He was one of the smartest human beings in all of human history. He figured out some major concepts that help fellow scientists and humans to understand the science behind things we use and see every single day. To my understanding, he was a very likeable person back then. He loved to be around kids and brought joy everywhere he went.
Over the years, he happily had jobs at Universities in Zurich, Bern, Berlin, and Prague. (Nobelprize) Unfortunately, Albert Einstein died on April 18, 1955 in New Jersey.
Surprisingly, when he was dead, scientists stole the remains of his body to take his brain for research reasons. (Biography) They did not have his or his family’s permission to do that. His family was not very happy about that whole thing even though they found that his brain was wired very differently than the average person.
There are many facts about Albert Einstein that most people don’t know about. Albert Einstein worked with the United Nations to keep nuclear weapons safe. (Biography) While he was discovering the secrets of science behind life, he prefered to use simple things like a chalkboard, just thinking, and paper. Also, one of his experiments was attempting to create time travel using tiny little wormholes. In his free time, he enjoyed to read classic books. Also, he spent a lot of time talking to fellow scientists about their different takes on theories. (Biography) Another cool fact is that he could have lived longer but he decided to not get the surgery. (The Fact File) He said “It is tasteless to prolong life artificially.” Albert Einstein was a very intelligent person.
“Everybody is a genius. But if you judge a fish by its ability to climb a tree, it will live its whole life believing that it is stupid.” is my favorite quote by Albert Einstein. (Goalcast) It explains how smart everyone is but how ridiculous the expectations are in the world. This quote is worded amazingly and is so true. I think Albert Einstein was an amazing person and will always be an inspiration to the world.
