British Rock Bands And Their Impact On The History Of Music

The Beatles is one of the most famous British bands in the history of rock. Their music has made a huge influence on the development of genre. Thanks to The Beatles British dance rock went to a new level and conquered the US that helped other bands and freshmen to gain fame easier especially if they were from Liverpool. Even if people had never heard about a band but knew it was from Liverpool they bought tickets without a doubt.

The Beatles’ story is unique. Thanks to it we now have a variety of styles and directions of rock, bands. As rock is always founded on protest, a lot of bands that had their own vibe had appeared, while The Beatles had their concert tours. The Rolling Stones is one of these new aggressive bands. They are considered to be the founders of the classic British rock and musicians who formed the fundamental principles and elements of rock heavy guitar riffs and texts expressing a protest against politics, state and world order itself.

British rock of the 1970s is closely related to the worldwide famous bands, such as Led Zeppelin, Deep Purple, Black Sabbat, Judas Priest, Uriah Heep, that are considered to be the founders of hard rock. This period is also connected with punk rock, bright representatives of which are Sex Pistols, and progressive rock – Pink Floyd. Punk rock was a genre that rejected all the mainstream and common opinion.

In the 1970s Queen became popular. It was a legendary bad that was one of the best rock groups of all the time. All four members stayed together till the end. They found a balance between good music and well-sailed one. Their music clings to the soul and is easy to be understood. Queen did well with any genre, and the amount of genres they used can only be compared to The Beatles. In 2018 the biographical film “Bohemian Rhapsody” was broadcasted in mostly all cinemas. It is about the formation of their personalities and worldview from the beginning of their career till the death of Freddy Mercury, their daily and personal life.

Lots of new genres and styles exist, but almost all of them are connected to the basics founded in the US and UK in 1050-1060s. Grunge, psychedelic rock, hard rock, punk rock, glam rock, alternative rock are played by musicians who rose on music of Elvis Presley, The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Queen and others.

To conclude, British rock has made a revolution of culture not only in the UK but all around the world.
