Discussion Of Whether Throwing The Trash Into Volcanoes Is A Good Idea
The world is facing a huge garbage problem. Plastics and Polythene have become a major issue with decomposing. These solid waste takes a too long time to get composed and for some materials never. Since people started using these cheap and easily consuming polythene/plastics instead of natural or composting materials, usage and production increased. Plastic and polythene pollution has become a global crisis. Even though Recycling plastic is a solution to this huge problem, it has become inefficient with high consumption of plastic. In this case, many researchers are finding a rapid solution to avoid plastic pollution. As a result of these findings, some have come to the conclusion of throwing the trash into volcanoes. Volcanoes are one of the most dangerous natural disasters on earth. If you fell into its hot molten rock which is called magma, in any instance, you will become a bubble and disappear with no trace of your body. It does not have to be the magma or lava, the ejection of hot vapour or gas cause to breathing difficulties and skin burns. Likewise, magma or lava helps things to disappear in sudden. So then why do not we use this method to disappear the trash? Has anyone tried it before? Or how do we are going to give transport to all garbage? And also what difficulties will be there to face? Throwing all garbage into volcanoes seems not a good way to get rid of tons of trash.
American and Canada bring about nearly 550 million tons of trash per year. Obviously, recycling tons of trash is insufficient to eliminate plastic pollution. As per the previously mentioned facts, it looks like this is a quick way to eliminate a huge amount of garbage at once. Dumping trash into volcanoes make the situation worse. Assume that you are in a process to throw tons of garbage into a volcano. Initially, you will have to find an active volcano to get the process done. Probably there are 1500 active volcanoes around the world. Mostly these are situated far from human living areas. In this case, you will have to pay a lot to get the tons of trash near an active volcano. Once we get ourselves near an active volcano, it might not be the proper one to throw litter since there are many types of active volcanoes.
For example, guess that you came near a Stratovolcano which is not a good place to stay since of their explosive eruptions caused by pressured hot vapour and gasses. A shield volcano which is a slow-erupting variety that contains lava lakes and regrettably these kinds are not very common. This seems ideal for the process. Before getting the trash near the volcano it is necessary to see the reaction after throwing the trash into it. In 2002, a group of Ethiopian researchers threw a 30kg bag of trash into a volcano. Then the volcano gave an explosive reaction. If you pierce the upper ash layer of lava with something cold, there will be endless explosions. So can you imagine putting tons of trash into a volcano and how explosions would be? Additionally, can you assume the air pollution caused by burning the trash? What if you burn nuclear trash with lava? The result can be anything. Putting all the trash into volcanos will undoubtedly increase the carbon footprint. As an effective solution, we can say to put the trash into somewhere the heat released through combustion.
