Example of Narrative Paragraph About Life During the Pandemic

When your screen is your only port to the outside world, things become more challenging; when you can't go anywhere but at the same time, you can connect everything with your computer. However, you will lose the ability to express your thoughts and feelings, making communication difficult. Especially in this chaotic and stressful situation. This is an example of narrative paragraph about life. So the advice from human development experts is exhausting, boring, and extremely impractical. For me, I no longer follow this advice or Crown News because it will increase unnecessary stress and anxiety.

In particular, some doctors advise us to stay away from anything that causes panic, which will have a negative impact on our immunity. There are various entertainment options, such as movies. We have seen most of them, but there is more time to go. I participated in sports for a whole week, and then I gave up. The trivia in the house is endless. We help each other to finish them, but in the evening there will be some dishes waiting for someone to wash them the next day. We disinfected every corner of the house, rearranged the furniture, and discarded three bags of things we no longer needed. In the old days, when we easily walked out of the house, greeted enthusiastically, and walked through the crowd fearlessly, we couldn't help but recall the recent past with some nostalgia. All this belongs to the past. Playing video games is a good choice to entertain yourself and pass the time. But at the same time, it will increase isolation and lead to addiction, which will persist after isolation and affect other activities, such as work and study. So I tried to replace it with meditation, because my house overlooks a mountain full of plants. Although meditation is my hobby, because I am used to meditating in nature, it is difficult to adapt to the new environment.

Reading is another good option, but when we have no other way to pass the time, we feel tired. I read Spencer Johnson's inspirational book 'Who Moved My Cheese?' It was published in 1998. This fable describes the changes in people's lives and occupations. It represents the four common reactions to changes of two dwarfs and a mouse in the process of searching for cheese in the maze. I also read 'The Power of Self-Control' by Ibrahim AlFeki. This book can help us restore our mental balance in this situation. In this book, the author talks about the causes of human behavior and divides it into four parts: internal dialogue, beliefs, perception of facts, and emotions. The last book I read was 'Prince', which is Niccol Machiavelli's 1513 political treatise. 'Winter nights are long', but the days of isolation are longer. I felt this way throughout the isolation period. So my friend and I decided to break the boredom and routine and stimulate passion by participating in agricultural activities and using abandoned areas. We started planting on the roof of our building. It is not easy, but our enthusiasm makes it enjoyable. So we took the soil to the roof of the four-story building, found a place to buy seeds, and planted 'basil'. This herb is versatile: we can use it in foods such as 'Kebbe' or enjoy its wonderful aroma.

I also started to learn new skills online, such as improving my foreign languages, such as English and French. Many platforms offer free courses for those interested in participating, including Arabic language platforms 'Edraak' and 'Rwaq', international platform 'Coursera' and two companies 'Google' and 'Microsoft'. Therefore, in addition to online university studies, I also took some language and math courses. Yes, the Internet platform is the only way out. Although you can do anything at home, staying at home for a long time will eventually make you feel frustrated. This is why I am always busy, whether it is helping my family or chatting with my friends.

I am also following the latest news from doctors. They are the heroes of this age and they are working hard to find a vaccine against the virus. They risked their lives to save the lives of others. What makes me more optimistic are the initiatives that surround us. I can say with certainty that social solidarity is the reason why we have overcome the Lebanese crisis. In such an initiative, people donate the remainder and volunteers help deliver the donation to those in need. These are all personal actions, rekindling our hope and cooperation. I voluntarily participated in the COVID19 Prevention Declaration initiative organized by a local NGO, and I benefited from isolation through activities that parents can do with their children.

To conclude personal narrative essay about my life during the pandemic, a crisis can be turned into an opportunity in a few easy steps. It helps us reunite with our families, develop our skills, strengthen social relationships, use social media to strengthen our relationships with people, and other beneficial activities that we can do. All of this can make you a different person, a better person, so always look at the full half of the cup.
