Lessons We Can Learn From Ariana Grande

Have you heard about Mac Miller’s death? What about the bomb at Manchester? These were all horrible things that happened, and they were all blamed on one person. Ariana Grande. I think what we can learn from Ariana Grande is to never let the hater get to you, be a proud feminist, and you looks don’t define who you are.

First is to never let the haters get to you, Ariana has been in the acting and singing business for a long time. In fact as a girl she went to FLCT in Fort Lauderdale Florida. And that theatre is where I have gone since I was 7. When she was younger the girls would tell her “you’ll never be anything” And look where she is now. Ariana said in an interview that not everyone will love you and that’s fine! Ariana has been blamed for the deaths in Manchester. She also has been blamed for Mac miller’s death. After the Manchester bombing Ariana Grande wrote the song “get well soon” to honor the people who lost their lives. And despite the haters she wrote the world record breaking album “sweetener”.

Be a proud feminist, if you didn’t already know Ariana is a proud feminist. And I’m mainly a feminist because of her. She even Swore she would fight for equality for her whole life. She even explained what feminism is and broke down a sexist comment saying “People have so many misperceptions of what feminism actually is. It’s not boy bashing at all! Its equality. It’s not about being above men, it’s about being equal to men.” You might be thinking “yeah that’s all she has said” Well search up Ariana Grande feminist quotes and you will see she has been defending women for forever! When she defends women the interviewer always backs down to her amazing remarks. In another interview the man said “If you could use makeup or your phone one last time, which one would you pick?” and she was obviously appalled and said “is this men assuming what women care about” and he then rudely asked “how long can you go?” and she said many hours and the DJ then rudely yelled “LADIES LEARN” and she came back with “boys learn! Boy and girls learn! We can all learn.” Then it came to the unicorn emoji and ari said “Many boys use the unicorn,” after they said the emoji was only for females and she said: “need a little brushing up on equality over here!”

Last is looks don’t define who you are. On many occasions Ariana has told her fans to not care about how you need a boy but one that really touched my heart was when she said “We love you. No one cares if you gain or lose however many pounds...You're healthy, you're alive, you are loved…whatever weight you are, whatever situation it is, whether you have a breakout, whatever it is.” This really touched me because in this day and age girls are pushed to always be perfect and what Ariana said was that no one is perfect, and you don’t need to be perfect! Just love who you are.

In conclusion Ariana has taught us a lot of lessons and to love who you are! These can be looked at through three points: Don’t let the haters get to you, be a proud feminist, and looks don’t define who you are! This speech wasn’t intended to make you a feminist or love Ariana Grande! But what lessons we can learn from this goddess.
