MBTI Assessment Versus Actual Personality

My MBTI assessment was ISTJ after the test in which I stand for Introvert, S means Sensing, T is Testing and J means Judging. Actually, it is unbelievable to me also when I read its description but it suits my personality about 85% however there are certain areas where I found this ineffective listed below:

ISTJ type is known as Inspector. It defines these people are intimidating, and appear sincere and formal in looks. As compared to MBTI test, I do not dress formal always whereas I do it sometimes. Moreover, I love to do someone’s help which comes under feeling and love to attend parties, functions, of course not often but once or twice a month. I do love to make new friends in the new place so that I can have their company for sharing my personal, professional feelings and get help from those. My pure nature is my politeness and follows the Spiritual path. What matches from MBTI assessment is my loyalty, patience, quiet nature, positivity, following old traditions and mostly I appreciated for producing something unique.

Personality Strengths:

Cooperation: It works as the most essential tool in the team. If we are not cooperative, team will not be doing the project jointly but separately, which leads to a mess at the last step. However, being cooperative will lead to a better output. Most of the time, there are team members of various cultures, from different parts of the world and cooperation teaches us how we can handle their type of nature. It brings a feeling of comfort within a team.

Loyalty: It builds a trust within the team for long-lasting relationships while it is declining in the recent time. A loyal person would never share the confidential information to the other people.

Politeness: Soft-spoken people are always benefitted. By being polite to the others, one can win their heart as a person can be killed with the words. For instance, a polite person can easily win a boss’s heart just by doing few extra efforts as he would be already impressed by employee’s nature.

Optimistic: It always brings cheerfulness to the team. Even when the project is so arduous, optimism always compels us to think in the positive way that no negativity comes in our mind about the completion and successfulness of the project.

Contribution to the team:

Discipline: It teaches the members how to live and work in a team without any fights, conflicts, clash. However, on the other side, it is really very beneficial to have disagreements, disputes over a topic to a line when positive negotiations do not turn out to be negative. So, that we can get and choose the best results when keeping our different thoughts in front of all.

Responsible: Every individual has to understand their responsibility to the team and complete the work assigned to them in the given time span. Each person has their different roles to perform to get rid of confusions, puzzles. A person should be hold accountable for the part of work he is assigned. So, when we know our role in team, we can show our perfection in that particular task.

Understanding the end goal: If we know the end result, then it would be an easy task to understand how it has to be performed, what all problems would come in it and how to resolve that. To be successful, it’s a good thing to have set the end in the mind before start.

Acknowledge Interdependency: Incase of bigger projects, there are a lot of interdependencies in a team. Certain tasks need to accomplished sooner for the starting of next step. If our task is smaller and we would be not serious about it, it can produce a large impact on the completion of project as another process cannot be start as this is not finished, so there will be delays, subsequently affect the success of the team.
