My Attitude To The Woman’S Suffrage Campaign
What do you think about all of this woman’s suffrage movement that’s been going on? At first when they first introduced it I thought it was a bunch of horse crap, but when I started to think about it more and more I began to realize the benefits that it brings.
The first benefit is that if we approve that women can vote it would make the nation move closer to its democratic principles which could make other countries more interested with the nation, therefore giving us more trading partners and future allies. It’s a little bit farfetched but it could become reality. Another benefit that this brings is the debate of electing a new president. Yes, I know that you’re thinking, “But wouldn’t be a bad thing to have a prolonged debate about the future president?” The answer is no. The reason why is that if we have more people voting there will be different viewpoints from each people deciding the goods and bads of each president which will hopefully lead us to pick the best choice among them.
There is yet another benefit coming from this whole ordeal and it’s the ability for women to work. I might be insane by thinking this is a benefit but hear me out. If women can work there will be more money going to the nation which would mean more luxuries that the nation can provide to its hard working citizens, but that’s not all. If women could work it will provide more money to bring back home because there will be two money makers in the house. But there’s one problem and that’s who would clean up the house while the husbands are out working.
However I see the problems that this movement can cause if it succeeds. One complaint that I can see becoming a problem is that since women didn’t fight in the war why should they be able to vote. I am a strong believer in this complaint, many men have died protecting and fighting for our nation and that is why we’re able to vote, but women haven’t fought in any wars for us so why should they be allowed to vote. I know that women took up our jobs for us and kept the houses clean while we were gone but that doesn’t make up for all the broken minds and bodies that young men have sustained. It could cause a backlash from all the war veterans who have fought in the war.
Another complaint that I could see forming is the aftermath of the law passing is the restructure of society. Once the law passes (if it does) we’ll have to change papers, signs, and basically life itself. What I’m saying is that once the law passes we’ll have to act in a different way towards women that we’ve never acted before which could take some getting used too for everybody especially women since they’ll be on the same playing field as us which could be too hard for them to adjust to which would create chaos in jobs.
The last complaint I have is the competition over jobs once the law passes. The battle for jobs is already but it’ll become even harder once women enter the fray. There will be fewer jobs for both men and women and unemployment rates will steadily rise as time passes. Maybe even I will get kicked out of my own job once the law passes.
Anyway enough rambling tell me what you think about all of this when you have time see you at work.
