My Enthusiasm To Meet The Challenges Of Medical School And The Clinical Environment
I would be an asset to my medical school in many ways, I am collegial, athletic and enthusiastic. I am willing to lead and be led, I am ready to learn from both my lecturers and from my colleagues. Academic achievement and excellence is the ultimate goal, but I recognize my limits and I am always open to asking for assistance. I would take an interest in organized student body activities like the medical students association.
In my current university I am the vice president of the pre medical society, and I will be bringing this experience with me. This role shaped my leadership skills, taught me the value of teamwork, and has improved my communication and negotiation skills. I will run for office if this exists, to contribute in an objective way in lives of my peers. I will strive to work hard, excel and graduate to fly the flag of my medical school wherever I go. It will be my pleasure to be an ambassador to show off the excellent level of training and the caliber of graduates from my school. This will enhance my schools recognition in the world.
I enjoy extra curricular activities especially team sports such as football (soccer) and basketball. Throughout my secondary and first year university I have played competitive soccer and at the last tournament I was the most valuable player and top goal scorer. I would like to try out for my medical school soccer team and attend medical school games if the opportunity exist I have formal training in piano and I also play the guitar. The discipline required will serve me well in my medical endeavors.
I am a collaborator, I will love to meet new people from various backgrounds from all over the world. I have remained committed to education, advocacy, and community service throughout my life. As I have demonstrated through my past experiences, I will be active in medical school, in class, in the lab, and in the community. As a doctor, I will be an advocate for my patients and community. I will contribute to the evolution of the medical practice by being a lifelong student, teacher, and innovator. I have accumulated skills and experiences that will benefit my peers, patients, coworkers, and myself.
I look forward to the challenges of medical school and the clinical environment, and I am prepared to learn from every experience, to support my peers and my community. To the medical profession I will uphold the values of the profession, I will be respectful to my lecturers, colleagues and to those who need my help. I will express warmth and sympathy to the sick and needy. When I attain the knowledge it will be my pleasure to teach others. Medicine has been described as an art amongst the sciences because of the diversity of use and findings. I intend to hold these values close to my heart and make them true.
