My Goal To Join Bachelor Of Accounting Program In Australia

I have completed my STD-10 at Khulna, Bangladesh. ON JAN 27, 2014, I along with my other family members shifted to Dhaka, Bangladesh for my elder sister’s education purpose. I sat for my ‘O’level in MAY, 2015 and successfully completed my ‘O’ level in that year. In May, 2017 I sat for my AS exams and passed the exams and then I planned to sit for my A2 exams but I was sick. I had to undergo an operation of my testes as I was diagnosed with Acute Testicular Torsion. As a result, I had a study gap and so in order to sit for my A2 exams, I have to again complete my AS exams. But my parents didn’t want me to waste time and money.

So, I gave GED exam which is an U. S. High School diploma and is recognized in USA, Canada and many other countries and it costs only a fraction of time and money compared to the time and money spend to complete A levels. Then, I started to apply for universities and was also going to start classes from September, 2018. All of a sudden, I was diagnosed with Jaundice due to fatty liver. So, I couldn’t join the September Session and had to take rest. According to my doctor, I have no health issues now and can also study. So, now I want to pursue my undergraduate degree.

I am currently applying to the “Bachelor of Accounting “program, so that I can learn and lay a foundation to live up my dream of becoming a highly qualified Chartered Accountant or as a financial analyst in a famous company or Accounting firm. After doing ample research over internet and discussion with my acquaintances I have engulfed a mountain of information on safe environment, religious freedom, sound economic conditions, post study opportunities etc of different countries. I have chosen Australia for various reasons.

Firstly, Australia is very near to our country unlike Canada, USA or UK which are at arm’s length. So, my parents can visit me frequently as well as I can spend my long term vacations with them more often. Then, the weather conditions of Australia are very pleasant and have similar features like our weather, whereas Canada and UK have harsh weather conditions throughout the year. Moreover, having an internationally recognized undergraduate degree from one of the top universities of Australia and world as well as access to all the best educationalists, UNSW appealed the most to me. UNSW has top ranks in the Times Higher Education (2018-2019), QS World Universities Ranking By Subject. In addition, UNSW is number 1 choice among Australia’s top 30 employers (LINKEDIN, 2015). Furthermore, many highly sorted companies like Google, PayPal, Deloitte; HSBC etc. have UNSW graduates as employees.

Being situated in Sydney, it gives access to the hub of Australia. It was very difficult to sort out Sydney from other magnificent cities like Melbourne, Perth, and Adelaide etc. Sydney has been voted one of the best cities for international students. The weather of Sydney is very favorable for Asian people like me. Sydney is home to many top universities and as a result is one of the most multicultural cities in the world. Being Australia’s Financial and economic hub, Sydney offers lots of job opportunities. Since, I love nature and animals so Sydney is like a paradise for me with having 37 beaches, kangaroos and other exotic animals and marvelous architectural buildings. UNSW business school’s alumni consist of CEOs, CFOs and other top-level officers from prestigious Australian and International companies and govt. departments. I will be mentored by the best lecturers who created CEOs, market leaders etc. UNSW business school uses teaching methods used in Ivy League universities to ensure proper education. The bachelor of accounting comprises all the required units needed for enrollment in a Chartered Accountancy program From ICAA.

The course teaches advanced knowledge on Accounting, Business, Taxation etc. which would smoothen my profession and future. Although, “Bachelor of Accounting” program is taught by many universities around the globe, but each offering its own unique course composition. In Bangladesh, undergraduate programs do meet international standard but the scope of accounting and business is considerable high in Australia. UNSW business school gives fully detailed lectures on accounting. An international accounting degree puts a candidate more forward and is highly respected and appreciated. In Bangladesh, nationalized and reputed accounting bodies prefer international degrees during recruitment. After graduation, I would enroll in chartered accountancy program from Institute of Chartered Accountants of Australia (ICAA) and fulfill my dream of a reputed chartered accountant. The ICAA has affiliations and MOU with accounting bodies around the world and so I would be able to transfer my practice to Bangladesh without any problem.

Other than a Chartered accountant, I can have diversified career options such as Business risk manager, Financial Analyst, Taxation specialist and treasurer. My future plan is to join a well renowned accounting firm in Bangladesh to gain experience and skills. In the end, I would like to create my own consulting firm providing sound financial ideas and legal advice to flourish businesses in Bangladesh. I would also train revenue officers about taxations and also train shareholders about stock markets tricks, policies and how to be a gainer.

With the top-notch level education and research experience, I wish to be a family member of the undergraduate program of Bachelor of Accounting with a major in UNSW. I hope that my talent will definitely be put into optimal use, thus escalating me to my dreams and ambitions.
