My Plans For Working For The Program At OVGU Magdeburg In Pakistan
After completion of my degree, I needed to further polish my skills, and with (MSC) IMME program, I have found that there is a solid parity between my interests and what this program offers. Moreover, this program is a solid foundation for my ultimate goal of becoming an entrepreneur. I can contribute both theoretically and practically towards the applied degree. I have developed skills in information evaluation and analytical thinking through studying (marketing methods and analysis, business decision making), already in my undergraduate studies that are also compulsory modules in IMME program.
Furthermore, through a final year project, I gained information about research surveys and techniques for analysis of problems faced in managing a company. Additionally, a six week internship at National Bank of Pakistan helped me in displaying high value of ethical conduct and professional responsibility in relation to the customers and the company as a whole. My communication and presentation skills have tremendously improved as I had been a marketing chair of student’s event council, hosting university events, tutoring my juniors and continuously nurturing my skills through various professional courses and my current internship as well.
There are many reasons to study this program. Firstly, I am highly impressed how OVGU has emerged as a young researched focused university with nearly 12000 published research papers whereas I am highly interested in getting guidance in my master’s thesis from the chair of entrepreneurship at OVGU Prof. Dr. Matthias Raith because his work has highly impressed me to do this course focusing on “social entrepreneurship, entrepreneurial knowledge and technology transfer”. The thesis seminar would be the most interesting part of this degree for me to complete.
Secondly, I had direct contacts with current enrolled students like, Ali Hasnain Raja and Muhammad Ahmad and from our conversations I became excited to learn more about this program. Third, specialization in two areas starting from the very first semester will provide extensive knowledge about Management and Entrepreneurship. Lastly, the prospect of studying one semester abroad in one of the partnering universities specifically Colorado State University Pueblo, USA, is an excellent way to experience divergent cultures.
I am certain that the knowledge and skills learnt from my professional experience, university, and extracurricular activities, I would be a valuable fit for the program at OVGU Magdeburg and by paying special attention to entrepreneurial decision-making practices, business model generation, organizational strategies, taught by the university, I will hone my skills further and gain perfect foundation to start my own consulting firm in Pakistan.
