Overview Of Beyonce's Life, Achievements, Family And Hobbies

The famous person I decided to do my project on is Beyoncé Giselle Knowles-Carter known as Beyoncé. She is one of the greatest performers that the world has ever seen. Beyoncé is a singer, songwriter, actress, and dancer. She’s a very hardworking and dedicated woman. The way she strives to be successful in life has impacted many people in the world including myself. She’s helped people all around the world not only with her voice but with her kind heart. When I was researching things up about Beyoncé I read things about her that I thought no other singer could do. Sometimes I think to myself if you don’t like Beyoncé then you don’t like yourself because she is just a miracle in our eyes. I know me bragging about her won’t help you fully understand the point I’m coming from. To give you a better knowledge of Beyoncé I will talk about things like her: her early years, achievements, family, and hobbies.

On September 4, 1981, in Houston Texas Mathew and Tina Knowles brought their daughter into this world; and little did they know that she would be famous worldwide in the years to come. Her unique name comes from her mother's maiden name, Beyoncé. Beyoncé competed in talent shows at school and her parents thought she had a gift so they helped pursue her passion for singing. Beyoncé was a part of a group called Girls Tyme with her best friend more like a sister to her Kelly Rowland. When she was seven years old which was later changed to Destiny’s Child when she got up of age. From there she was on her way to fame.

Early Years

From a very young age, Beyoncé has been engaged in musical life. Her parents knew she was talented but who knew Beyoncé would be good at singer. Ever since she was seven her talent has been recognized by winning a talent show among teenagers with her performance of 'Imagine' by John Lennon. Throughout her childhood, she was continually enrolled in schools focused on the musical arts. As Beyoncé was always involved with music and knew she wanted a life filled with it, she auditioned for an all-girl singing group with her childhood friend, Kelly Rowland. Through this process they met Lativia Roberson; and soon, they were joined along with three other young girls to form the hip-hop rapping group, Girl's Tyme. In 1995, Beyoncé's father, Mathew, quit his job as a Xerox sales manager and began to manage his daughter's singing group. The change cut the group down to four girls who performed as opening acts for other popular groups. After being with Destiny’s Child after a while Beyoncé wanted to spread her wings and fly on her own and she did exactly that. Beyoncé did not go to college instead she started her solo career as a music artist. With the help of her manager/father, she was on her way to success. Beyoncé recorded her first solo album Dangerously in Love in 2003. The album was a hit Beyoncé received five Grammy Awards.

Greatest Achievement

Beyoncé has many great achievements but some for me is. Beyoncé has sold over 118 solo albums and 60 million with Destiny’s Child. She is the first artist to have six of her songs hit Number 1. Beyoncé has become the first black woman to headline Coachella. She is also the first woman to be the most nominated in Grammy history. Beyoncé has sold over 118 million solo albums and 60 million with Destiny’s Child. Did I forget to tell you that she is the first woman to win six Grammy’s in one night? Those are some of her greatest achievement and especially for a black woman.

Other Achievements

Other achievements of Beyoncé becoming the first woman to top both the United States and United Kingdom charts. She is one of the highest-selling artists and one of the highest-paid artists. Beyoncé collaborated with Adidas to launch Ivy Park. Beyoncé has one 23 Grammy’s and was nominated for more than 43 others. Beyoncé has starred in more than 5 movies. The most known and new one is the remake of The Lion King. She has had seven concert tours five have been worldwide. She has her fragrance line as well. She sings the American National Anthem. She performed at the Superbowl twice in her lifetime. She has helped with charities. The only artist in history to have all her studio albums début at the number one spot in the Billboard 200. She has 22 number one songs.

Beyoncé is the daughter of Tina Lawson and Matthew Knowles. They are now divorced and remarried to different spouses. She is the sister of Solange who has followed in the footstep of Beyoncé with acting and singing. She has a nephew (Solange’s son) who is now 14 years old. In 2008 Beyoncé married the infamous rapper Shawn Carter known as Jay-Z. They are 12 years apart from each other which was a shocker to me. They had a daughter together in 2012 they named her Blue Ivy Carter. She is now 8 years old. In 2017 Beyoncé gave birth to twins Sir Carter and Rumi Carter. They are now 2 years old.

Beyoncé hobbies are staying home and watching TV, visiting museums while on tour, swimming in the ocean, watching basketball games, singing (of course) and working on her acting or fashion. Her favorite food is Oreo cookies. A Star is Born is her favorite movie. She is a very funny woman. She likes to joke around. She is a very lazy person when she is off work. She also likes to read and write. Beyoncé's favorite number is 4 because her birthday is on the 4th of September, her mom's birthday is on the 4th of January and she got married on the 4th of April. She even named an album 4 because that’s her favorite number. Beyoncé surprisingly is allergic to perfume. Her favorite ice-cream flavor is butter pecan.

Beyoncé has done much in this world more than any woman I can think of in my decade. She is liked and loved by many people in this world. She has impacted kids and adult lives. I have never seen or met her before and if I’m reading an article about her I feel like I can see and hear her saying these things. I feel like I have so much in common with her and I’m happy that someone like her is in this world spreading love and positivity throughout the world.
