Overview Of Dark Souls And Bloodborne Games
Some people play games in order to have fun, but others play games in order to die and die again and again, until they can brag about their success. So, there is where Dark Souls and Bloodborne, the two most famous games from FromSoftware and directed by the creative mind of Hidetaka Miyasaki. Both of these games come from the idea of making games the old way, the “the game will tell you only the basic things and you have to figure out how to do everything else” way, and even though this sounds a little bad in paper, it has gained its followers that will defend this “philosophy” until death.
Both games are challenging but fair, they both have a similar in-game currency that the player gets every time they kill an enemy and if the player dies they drop all of it, so if they want their money back they have to go back to the place they died and if they die along the way they lose it forever and all that effort invested would be for nothing. Another aspect that these games have in common its their boss fights, that are some of the most epic and exiting ones in all of gaming. But, even though they have the same bases they each one have their personal attributes to bring to the table.
By its part, Dark Souls it’s a spiritual successor of Demon Souls, the reason it’s more popular than Demon Souls and it’s not called Demon Souls 2, it’s because that title is property of Sony and Dark Souls is multiplatform. The story of this game is a little bit complicated, basically at the beginning everything was dark and the dragons ruled the surface and all the other beings lived underground, but then the flame came and four guys came to claim it: Nito, Gwyn, Izalith and Seath, who defeated the dragons with their new power. After that, Gwyn crated the kingdom of Lordran and the age of fire started. Time passed and the flame began to fade away, and with it some were afflicted with the undead curse and a prophecy was told, that a chosen undead will link the flame in order to create a new fire age, and there is where the player comes in. Along the way, the player will have to defeat numerous challenges and unravel the lore behind this world filled with secrets. Now, the gameplay it’s simple at first and gets complexity throughout the game implementing new concepts without the need of a tutorial. The most popular aspect of this game it’s its “difficulty”, but the thing is that anyone with enough patience could finish this game. All in all, this game created the bases for the following games, with a variety of weapons and play styles to try out.
At the end, it satisfied the need for a good and challenging game that won’t take your hand in every step. Now Bloodborne is the PlayStation exclusive that made all the pc and Xbox one user’s die in envy. This game took every aspect of Dark Souls and added a faster passed gameplay. The history in this game it’s a little darker than in Dark Souls and with a gothic neo Victorian esthetic. Now the weapons in this game, although less, are more unique in the way that each weapon has a two forms.
