Postgraduate Course In Management – An Important Step In My Business Career

It took me some time to find the right place to pursue my dream of being a recognized and effective scholar. I decided to apply for a postgraduate course in management because I have an aptitude and a great interest in this area. I believe that the management function of business is the heart of operating a business and without good management most businesses will suffer because the words 'money' and 'business' do not just simply mean cash, but also contain implications of people, trust, management, investment, objectives, strategies, problems, solutions, challenges, failures and successes. I was looking for a university with a distinguished faculty in management and a peaceful atmosphere in which to devote myself to my interests. As a result, I am determined to continue my education with the ultimate objective of obtaining a PhD.

I have always been interested in discovering how things work. Curiosity has been my driving force and I have been more than eager to study every new subject. I come from a nuclear, four-member family. My father is used to work at Oil Company as a manager. He graduated in master in Management and my mother is a housewife. My sister is a Ph. D. student in electrical engineering Manchester University. My family fully supports me in accomplishing my life goals, pursuing a Ph. D. , and becoming a professional researcher and run my own business. In secondary school, I developed an interest in physics, although I couldn’t suppress my predilection for mathematics, so I chose the mathematics and physics major. I pursued some extracurricular studies and I got my Bachelor degree in Materials Engineering at Hakim Sabzevari University, Iran. I graduated in January 2014.

My engineering studies have provided me with a strong grounding in learning software for instance Endnote. I also being part of a team and join the group during my course for research helped me develop my interpersonal skills such as speaking and listening as well as team working skills such as leadership, and working with and motivating others. Some of these skills will be useful throughout my academic career all and are valued by employers which will really help me to find a proper job and also gain experience to run my own business. My undergraduate education at has not only given me a certain set of skills but has also helped me understand my fields of interest. When I was the third year in bachelor, I read one of my father's book which related to management theories. I was faced with new topics which were different from my major and I found it really interesting. I did more researches in various Concentrations of management and get familiar with them by visiting various websites.

When my father understood my passion for management major asks his friend who is a professor in university to give me some information about job opportunities for management major in the future. I figured out continued further research in this area during my last year in my under graduated course and I read some books relevant to general manager for instance “Principles of organization and management “ which is written by Dr. Ali Rezaeian. This book really helps me to get familiar with human resources and organizational behavior. I also review a book which called “marketing management”t Written by Ahmad Roosta, Davar Venouss and. Abdolhamid Ebrahimi Ph. D. These books also enabled me to appreciate the interaction between marketing and the other functions of the firm especially brand management. The reading of certain outstanding books during the course of my research convinced me to pursue a master in business management Concentrations in marketing and an academic career thereafter.

I pursued my education by studying for a master degree at a state university because it had a reputation for excellence, appropriate facilities, and high-quality education. I studied hard for one year and then participated in the national entrance exam. I passed the examination and was admitted to the Business Management program concentration in Marketing at the Shahid Chamran University of Ahvaz. SCU University is considered one of Iran's "Grade A" universities by Iranian Ministry of Science. I did very well in projects, and class discussion. I have done my dissertation by the title of Study the Effect of Service Personalization and the Customer Gratitude on Brand Equity with Mediating Role of Buyer-Seller Relationship Quality”. I chose the MTN Irancell company for doing my theses. This company is the second largest telecommunications Company in the 2G-3G-4G-4. 5G mobile broadband network and fixed TD-LTE internet. I graduated from master course successfully by GPA3. 85/4. I was Ranked second among 16 class graduate students in MA at the Shahid Chamran University of Ahvaz. I could publish two papers, one journal and conference paper. Both of them were the consequence of my master thesis. It is an honor for me that my paper has been published in Business Management Journal which is the most prestigious journal in this field in Iran. I was also the main author and the corresponding author in a conference paper.

I believe that I have the qualities to be a good researcher and also running my own business. I am a creative person and often think in a contemplative way about various issues of practical importance. Being able to identify patterns and relationships that are not obvious to others is perhaps my greatest strength. The difficulty of performing a task has never prevented me from trying and has even been a source of motivation. I believe that obstacles and problems should not prevent me from following my goals so these futures will help me to be a great researcher.

My communication skills are good and I like expressing ideas and concepts both in oral and written form - an ideal platform for the dissemination of knowledge in my chosen field of specialization which help me to be sufficiently qualified for demanding job and after gaining experience, I would like to run my business. In my opinion, the only way to make life more challenging and, accordingly, satisfying is to have a goal in mind and work toward it. Having this in my mind, I am blessed with the opportunity to pursue my two great ambitions: scientific satisfaction and contributing to building a better world. I am keen on research and, even if I decide to pursue a career in the industry, I will devote part of my time to research.

The tremendous opportunities that the North Carolina State University offer students with different backgrounds grabbed my attention and motivated me to apply for a Ph. D. degree at your institution, which is held in high regard among academic institutes worldwide. In addition, by studying at this university, I will get the opportunity to expand my knowledge in a variety of directions, all ultimately governed by the influence of electrical engineering. In a word, it would lead me to a broader range of possibilities and chances to use my knowledge in quest of a specific target in numerous domains and with which I can make my dream come true.
