Project Report On Internet Of Things Programmable Devices
With the development of Internet of Things it has turned into the one of the most prominent areas for the potential growth in future, from wristwatch to smart home IOT will be everywhere. This paper portrays an analysis and evaluation of the current and prospective profitability of advance technology and also how IOT programmable devices advantageous for the charm in this field and how it will play an essential part for the next generations. This paper proposes an IOT centric social device network based on a Cloud computing model which provides a virtual execution environment thanks to its decentralized nature, high reliability and accessibility from anywhere and at any time.
Introduction
IOT (Internet of Things) is a very vast field and expanding day by day. IOT is getting a high interest and popularity in both industry and academia. IOT is the network of physical object or “things” embedded with software, electronics, sensors which enables this objects to exchange the data and also for the collection. Its vision is to have plug-and-play smart devices that can be deployed in the environment and after that it will be communicate with any other devices. This has become feasible only with the recent evolution in the Internet protocols, efficient computing and machine to machine communication. IOT is composed two terms: “internet” and “things”. Nowadays, with the advancement in the IOT the objects of everyday life such as your kitchen appliances like a juicer, toaster Etc. and some other things like your garage, surveillance cameras, water level indicators etc. can be controlled from the smart phones or smart watches. You can type in or give the voice input control or access it. These applications would impose further challenges and it need for standard to handle the diversity of those application requirements.
"Internet of Things", associated with the concept of "future Internet" is a vision where each object will be available on the Internet. IoT is like a vision in which every object which is connected over network can uniquely be identified, its status and position can be known, it is accessible to the network and also services and intelligences are possible to be added to this network. So it acts as a fuse between real world and virtual world of digital technology and impacts our social, personal as well as professional life. IoT will transform the information world and technology world drastically to make a more comfortable world full of technology for us. Various hardware devices, on chip systems, sensors, RFID and networking capabilities are supporting candidates for IoT evolution.
In this Research Paper, I will present an overview of current IOT Programmable Devices. It’s a very huge topic. So I will explain any one device in details with advantages of it. And also Like How it will works Etc. After that I will explain the outcomes of Internet Of Things (IOT) device.
Literature Review
This chapter includes basic overview of proposed study of different authors and their research and analysis.
IOT for sharing user in the cloud
With the evolution towards the web, the end-users have proved that when they have necessary tools to create and collaborate (blogs, wikis, social networks, etc. ), they get actively participated in that community building without any type of expectations. We expect to see the same involvement of the users with the new generation of IoT devices that generate useful information for everybody, such as my security camera, my location, my health information, etc. other than providing the information about the important event information on my TV, turning off my home’s lights when someone goes to sleep and other is like receiving sound messages from family, friends etc. so in this way we can know our daily life schedule very easily. It will be very useful for the daily routine of line in nowadays.
In this context, this research paper proposes IoT centric social device network model that is being developed in the context of the ClouT project. The concept is about sharing those devices with others: either with a circle of the user or publicly with anyone. This will lead for instance to collaborative applications that can see a highly distributed information source all over the city and build applications on top of that for the service of citizens. The applications are hosted by ClouT platform providers that grant secure access to all devices. So, in this way IOT devices communicate via cloud platform easily and it will be very faster and make the easy life of all the citizens. In this way, there is no physical connection involved. It’s also the time saver, which is the most important thing in this world.
This new passageway of experiencing devices enhances many research problems at different levels of design: the management of the availability and distribution of a large number of devices, and safe access to all of these resources. In addition, sharing devices between multiple users and multiple applications is a very complex job that can commence to contrasting or unacceptable behavior.
IOT in smart cities
In this research paper, I introduce a smart city architecture for the collection and sharing of big data. The key point of this concept utilizes a cloud infrastructure that is used for sharing, transferring and accessing data within the layers of the smart city. With the help of this cloud infrastructure for data sharing, interconnected smart city layers can exchange data for the purpose of improving the overall efficiency of the smart city. Such smart city layers include intelligent transportation, energy efficiency, e-health, waste and water management and application services. The highest and most refined layer of this smart city concept is the smart home and the automation services in smart homes. All of this is made possible with the use of the cloud. Of course, such a concept proposes certain security considerations that are discussed in this research paper.
In the direction of maintaining an “active storage” for a network architecture, in the concept of active networks has been introduced. Active networks offer the possibility to dynamically inject executable programs. Here I am going to explain about the Internet of Things in the Viewpoint of Specific Applications and Technologies in Smart Cities. These applications are described below:
Energy Efficiency
Smart home automation and smart technology make our homes more energy efficient. Commercial and industrial buildings are the major users of the electrical energy. The smart home communicates with smart grid and allows residents to manage electricity usage. By measuring home's electricity consumption more frequently to a smart meter, the home can provide the resident with much better information to manage their electricity bills.
Security
For smart cities to function adequately, protocols have to be established for how data can be exchanged and conveyed between devices. Various different protocols already exist. Eventually, a protocol has to be developed that will allow all manner of devices to talk and communicate with each other. Without the secure transfer of this data in the city, users’ data may be dropped and abused. A quick mention can be made of Ukraine's power grid hack that occurred in mid-January 2016. This is the first experience of a national power grid being hacked, but with the spate of smart devices, this is something that will continue to occur in the lack of secure data exchange protocols.
Conclusion
This Chapter covers the basic outcome and review of the proposed study and also carries the concept behind applying and not applying them in appropriate areas.
For IOT for sharing users in the cloud, IOT programmable devices presented a new procedure on sharing IoT devices among end-users. Based on a service-oriented approach, IoT devices expose data and action resources that are available within a cloud platform anytime from anywhere. This provides new profession resources for application developers that can reuse information provided by the users and build applications on top. Furthermore, residents could get involved in the wealth-sharing for providing access to their devices, if only sufficient market models can be built.
According to research for IOT in smart cities, Smart technologies can provide solutions for cities by helping them save money, reduce carbon emissions and manage traffic flows. But the complexity of the agenda is hindering its progress. It involves a large number of stakeholders each having their own vision of what a smart city should be; most of the debate gets bogged down on trying to understand what ‘smart’ means rather than focusing on how it can help cities meet their goals. Moreover, since the market for smart technologies is relatively new, it needs new business models and ways of working which are yet to be developed and implemented. IOT devices are very useful and great in our routine life.
From researches provided different aspects of IoT based devices in various applications with benefits and drawbacks by using them in real-time systems. Advantages are it can accessing information easily and you can control a device that is miles apart in real time, communication becomes easier between two devices. It also reduces the time, money and human intervention. The main thing is that efficiency will be increased. While the disadvantages are it reduces the manpower, almost lifestyle is dependent on the technology and due to its complex network; a loophole can put the entire system down, affecting everyone.
