Reading and Its Influence on Writing

Did you know that there is the dependence between the processes of reading and writing? Within an essay about reading and writing we will find it. Reading influences writing. Reading is defined as an interactive or socio-cognitive process that results in creating meaning from the printed text. It means creation is the production of a close negotiation between reading on one hand and writing on the other hand. As writing is the process of shaping experiences into text, allows the writer to discover, develop, clarify and communicate thoughts and feelings. To have a good of writing one must read. Though reading is not only the factor that improves writing skills, however we write what we read and reading develops the background knowledge that can influence the writing. Reading helps to understand the thoughts of the writer, improves grammar that results to a good writing and helps in structuring standard sentence. Reading is important because it develops the mind; understand the written word usage, vocabulary and creativity.

Creative and powerful writing can be made possible with the aid of great vocabulary. To make writing interesting, good readers can have much diverse content. They understand the level of creativity required as a writer to be able to make clear scene described to the audiences or readers. Generally the students faced the difficulties in writing without reading the text, with the lack of vocabularies the students might not accumulate ideas what to write in the essay without reading the text. The significant role of reading in writing is enhancing writing performance and motivating students to read at the same time writing on the other hand. With the focus on using correct grammatical patterns, choosing proper words, vocabularies and checking spelling of words can helps to improve the writing as a result of reading. A Frequent reader can create more variety in paragraphs and sentences with the vocabulary words which keeps the readers interested in what the writer is saying. With the reading it helps to develop a strong vocabulary which reading the context can explore with the different meaning of words and can give a good sense of how they are used.

Grammar can be improved through reading that results to a good writing. Through reading it can understand that punctuation and how one comma or apostrophe can change the meaning of a sentence. Reading develop sentence with how different figures of speech fits together. In linguistics, grammar is the set of structural rules which influences the composition of clauses, phrases, and words in a given language. It helps to understand how words and their component parts combine to form sentences. For example, readings enhance focus on choosing proper words, using correct grammatical patterns and improve the spelling of words. Usually a good reader makes a good piece of writing, they know the grammar of language being able to express in a way that readers find it easy to understand. As grammar rules can help readers develop the habit of thinking logically and clearly understand the thoughts of the writer.

Being able to understand authors thought is a great asset while reading, it helps to become the author that wish to be. As a frequent readers, the thoughts or words of the writer can be easily understand and able to transport themselves and visualize in the new forms and sentences. Reading exposes us to other styles, other voices and forms that help to improve in writing. As a good reader, thought of the author can be easily understand and come up with the news ideas, capability of imagination and creativity improvers to become a best writer. As an example a persistent readers can consume and create something that matters to everyone with the available time which can either be valuable or only can be use as information in reading. Esmaeili pointed out that if reading and writing could be used together, there is a positive impact on student academic success. To perform good academic success, the student vocabulary, creativity and structuring standard sentence in the writhing will be greatly influence by the reading.

Readers are accustomed to structuring sentences. With depends on the quality of the reading materials, a good sentence starts to come naturally to readers. As a readers can go through different style of writing, they learned to play with it and used accordingly to the mood to have a piece of good writing. Readers understand how reading affects writing positively, thoughts and learn how to structure those thoughts, words and connections they make with thoughts. For example, proficient readers recognize the purpose for reading, approach the reading with that purpose in mind, monitor their comprehension of the text in light of the purpose for reading, and if needed adjust their strategy use to develop a good sentences structure. Effective reading can improves the grammar structure in writing that rewards the readers with the clear information, and conveys precise meaning to the audience.

In conclusion to dependence of reading and writing essay, being a constant reader can enhance writing as the students read and write, the processes of comprehending and composing reinforce each other. Usually a good reader makes a good of writing being able to choose more descriptive words to help readers envision with the description and can adapt the writing for the audience. Reading can helps to make a better writer as readers are accustomed to structuring sentences, grammar can be improved through reading that result to a good writing and the thoughts or words of the writer can be easily understand and visualize with the new forms and sentences. According to former Prime Minister Tobgay T., “you are thought leaders, whatever you write, our youths will believe. For that reason, think and reflect and go slow.” It means that whatever the writing be clear scene has to be described to the readers which can be made possible with the reading. Finally, readers understand how reading affects writing positively, structure sentence and make connection of the words with understanding the thoughts of the writer.
