Fitrah can be defined as innate. It is intrinsic. The nature of humans is such a way that they seek for the truth and support it, and the nature of man is inclined towards the oneness of God. Newborns are born believing in one God, it’s the parents who force him to counter their fitrah, or otherwise, make him/her follow the path of fitrah. Independent. co. uk reports that it is scientifically proven that there is a “God Spot” in humans in which the belief of a person is secured.

Design and Designer

Whenever we see something with our eyes, we tend to think about its creator, even a pencil or a pen, or a chair or a table, or a room or a building, everything we see was sometime, created by someone. So how can this infinitely expanding universe be created by its own, there has to be someone that has intelligently designed this whole universe. According to research, if the earth was moved from its current orbital position even a kilometer, there will be chaos in our whole solar system, so how come it is so perfectly balanced in its orbit? It is absolutely intelligent design which is designed by some intelligent entity.

Scientific Explanation

Nowadays, most of the people tend to think rationally, with reasoning. Which is a positive approach to anything. Believing in something blindly is not actually believing, it’s deceiving yourself because there has to be a reason to everything. Moreover, if we have to persuade someone to believe in a particular thing, we can’t just say that believe in this, unless we provide proper reasoning and rational arguments. So, below is the scientific explanation of existence of God.

To understand the existence of God scientifically, we have to start the things from the beginning, where it all started, The Big Bang, before when there was no universe. Big Bang theory explains that the universe came into existence when a big ball of mass exploded. It started to expand afterwards and still is. Now,

• Where did the big ball come from?
• If it was created, who created it?
• What caused it to exploded?

The answer to all of these questions is none other than the existence of God because nothing can give birth to itself so how come the whole universe came into being by itself?

Relegious Explanation

Scholar Abdullah Hakeem studied that in all of the systems of belief present in the history, somewhere there is a concept of monotheism in all of the religions. Christianity, Hinduism, Sikhism, Jewism and even the Tribal religions at some point in history accepted that there is only one God. And when we see the Holy books and the belief, stories and the rulings given in them, such similarity at that big level is very difficult to be made up, the concept of Adam and Eve, the stories of Abraham, Moses and Christ and the similarities between them, except of course the edited versions, are uncanny and they cannot be ignored.

My Opinion

In my opinion the best argument to be posed for the existence of God is the Scientific Explanation. Because it is the most rational approach to this topic and where the History can be sometimes altered or edited but the scientific explanation remains there. The design and designer argument and the Fitrah argument can be included in the scientific explanation because they relate to facts about human brain and the way things work in the world. The reason I think that it is the best way to explain to someone, the existence of God is that when I questioned my belief, it was the one think that helped me understand. In this modern society, if we to explain to someone, the truth, we cannot just ask them to believe a particular thing without persuading them with reasonable arguments. People are starting to think rationally as the world is progressing, so now it is even easier to explain the truth to someone because people are not as stubborn as the previous days, the days when people would kill for their belief even if it was not true, and spend all their lives in the dark without ever questioning their faith. But as the world has advanced, people leave the beliefs the think to be unreasonable, People are becoming secular. But their innate always persuades them to find the truth. After studying the history of science and Islam:

• The Quran 41:53 Islam was ridiculed because it was said in Quran that ants talk, but in 2009 it was proved that ants do talk with different signals.
• The Quran 36:38 about the rotation of the sun, it was considered stationery but now it has been proved scientifically that sun does rotate around the center of Milky Way galaxy.
• The Quran 21:32 Allah (swt) mentions the ozone and many more arguments that were proved to be in the favor of Islam.

No one can deny the fact that Islam is NOT dependent on science it’s actually the other way around, instead of confirming the Islamic point of views by science, we should confirm science by Islam. Because it is in fact the creator who defined all laws of physics. but nowadays when people have made science their religion, we have to convince them otherwise. So, if we have to convince someone about the existence of God we will start from where it all began:

The Big Bang: The Big Bang theory explains that initially, when there was no existence, there was a ball of huge mass, just like a balloon, something caused it to inflate and it has been expanding since then. Now to think, Where did the ball of mass come from? Who created it? Did it create itself?

Absolutely nothing can create itself, and something that massive had to be created by something intelligent, how the life on Earth is at perfect balance and the fact that only humans interfere with the natural environment of the world and spoiled it. Otherwise it is in perfect balance, how come can world this big be in perfect balance? Answer to all these Questions appears to be one: Existence of one intelligent being, GOD. Allah Almighty explains The Big Bang in The Quran as: “And the heaven we created with might, and indeed we are (its) expander” (Quran 51:47).

Existence of only ONE God: The proof for existence of only one God is that the nature is not chaotic, it is peaceful, had there been more than one God, the nature would be chaotic because of the contradiction between their decision, moreover sometimes we tend to think about what was there before God? But that argument becomes invalid when we keep thinking “what was before that? Who does God has to answer to?”, that goes to infinity, if we see before, or ahead, and in that case the existence of universe would not be possible because the answering argument will go on and on. Allah (swt) says in The Quran: “If there had been in them (heavens and earth) any gods except Allah, they would both have been certainly in the state of disorder” (Quran 21:22).

Human Psychology: Existence of God is intrinsic to Human mind, it is not a foreign concept to human mind. It has been reported that there is a “God Spot” in human mind. Humans have a natural dependency on something truly superior, and that is, God. And we like to have our limits, not having limits can cause some serious psychological problems. That is why pure atheism relates to the concept of limitlessness because if we do not believe in God, we do not have any reason to be good or bad, it is completely up to us, only thing we have to fear is the law, which is not a spiritual restriction, it is just a shallow fear, we can find ways to dodge this. Unless we are not restricted by our faith, there is nothing that can stop us from doing bad stuff. Moreover, atheism means that we have no purpose in our life, our life needs a purpose, if we start to think that “this is the only life” there is not much motivation left to go on with life. It makes a person a coward. Not believing in God makes our mind an easy prey for depression and many other psychological disorders. Because when people are left alone in life, there is nothing they can rely upon and they become depressed. Allah (swt) says in The Quran: “Only in the remembrance of Allah, will your heart find peace” (Quran 13:28).

So whatever question we have about life, its existence, how it is meant to be spent, how did it originate, how come the universe is balanced, all of the answers lie within The Holy Quran, even the history of all religions at some point, points out the fact that there is no God but Allah, and the psychology of humans leaves us no choice but to believe in The Truth, so if a person is given the ability to think by God, he must not be blind about that and seek the truth. And by all means he/she would, eventually find the truth. Allah (swt) says in The Quran: “But only men of understanding will pay heed”.
