Roman Army - The most powerful During Ancient Time
The Roman empire was one of the most important, because it helped shape the world. The world borrowed their government structure into their own, in fact they were one of the first civilizations that has an established government. Also, Rome was one of the most vicious empires to ever lived. They had gladiator arenas to watch people die for sport. Their army was the most disciplined and feared in all of Europe.
Rome was one of the most feared empire in the entire world during their time. No other nation could have stood up to the power that Rome possessed. Rome had a fighting style that other nations did not know how to counter which led to their downfall. The soldiers were trained for everything had one of the most fearsome warriors. If a person wanted to be trained into a soldier they have to leave their family and go through some intense training. Train so hard that it could mean life or death if they cannot do it. Some soldiers might have been raised and taught to live as a soldier in their early life.
One historian at that time said the reason Rome was in constant war was so they could subdue any country who could be a threat to “Roman Integrity”. That their goal was to have peace and to be able to live in peace. The first place they decided to conquer was all of Italy since they lived in that region. Their intentions did not go unnoticed by neighboring countries, so they decided to lay low for the time being. War broke out near the city of Tusculum, at Lake Regillus, and Rome was victorious. With this victory, Rome obtained the Latium land. The people of Latium were required to provide soldiers to Rome whenever they were needed. With this, Rome was able to conquer other nearby lands. After the battles from the North they started down South of Italy. They had some defeats and close calls, but were able to stay strong and keep on fighting. After the Romans had conquered all of Italy they started to head more South. Rome also had battles with Spain and in the end they were able to gain Spain and North Africa. After the battles in the West they then started looking East to start conquering. Through hard battles in the East they manage to acquire Greece and the Balkans.
