Soccer Is The Most Popular Sport

The reason I chose this topic is that I like sports. I like lots of sports, but the one that is my favourite is soccer. I like this sport for many reasons; e.g, it is fun to play, it is a team sport. etc. Soccer is the most popular sport in the world. (No wonder why people like soccer so much). I have been playing soccer for 6-7 years. These are two of the many fun things about playing soccer. Kicking the ball and scoring goals are essential parts of the sport, but not all reasons for playing have to do with the game. Getting a new jersey, bonding with teammates, and making up cheers are all parts of soccer that kids love. The reason why people love watching soccer is because of the passion the sport makes them feel. But the most important one is because of the pride and affection fans and players feel for their soccer team.

Association football, more commonly known as football or soccer, is a team sport played with a spherical ball between two teams of eleven players. It is played by 250 million players in over 200 countries and dependencies, making it the world's most popular sport.

Records trace the history of soccer back more than 2,000 years ago to ancient China. Greece, Rome, and parts of Central America also claim to have started soccer, but it was England that adjusted soccer, or what the British and many other people around the world call “football,” into the game we know today.

Johan Cruyff, The Man Who Invented Modern Soccer, Dies At 68. It would be impossible to even approach summing up the totality of Johan Cruyff's unparalleled influence and contributions to the game of soccer in one blog post. The game has evolved from the sport of kicking an old animal-hide ball around into the World Cup sport it is today. Records trace the history of soccer back more than 2,000 years ago to ancient China; As the sport developed and more rules were made and set. England invented a game of running around kicking a ball in the mid-19th century (although the Chinese claim to have played a version centuries earlier). They called it “football,” not because the ball is played with the feet, but because the game is played on foot rather than on horseback.

Soccer is a ball game, in its earliest days, is played with a rudimentary animal hide ball, has got no rules then. The beginning of soccer traces its path in Ancient China which is played there more than 2000 years before; it's likely to be invented there nearly 476 BC; but countries like Greece, Central America and Rome claims as to their origin. The selection of soccer began in the schools of Britain at the beginning of the 19th century. Within the private school system, 'football' was a game in which your hands were used during times of play and wrestle allowed, but otherwise, the modern shape of soccer was being formed. It wasn't until the twentieth century that most soccer balls were made out of rubber. Charles Goodyear in 1855 created the first vulcanized rubber soccer ball.

Athleticism and fitness are really important in this sport. Soccer players train all week for their games and they do a lot of exercises to stay fit. Stature and physical strength are not really important; skill and speed are more useful; You don't need a body of a wrestler to play soccer. Many people think that Ronaldo and Messi are the gods at soccer: but I think that it is either Neymar, Ibrahimovic or Messi. (My opinion). In China, the first soccer balls were made from sewn clothing that was filled with rubble. In Europe during the Middle Ages, soccer balls were made from inflated pig bladders.

Why people hate soccer is a mystery. The haters continuously say, 'It's a sport for people with no strength,' 'It's too long and boring,' and 'It's just a bunch of fairies running around.' Now that's just funny to hear because it takes tremendous skill to get where the pros go.

I'm positive that 90 percent of young soccer fans play this game. We control the outcome of the match.

FIFA is a major reason why I began to watch soccer more frequently as a young boy. Not only is it entertaining, but it can teach so much about soccer. Big games are one of the reasons why we watch soccer. It creates great debates and great fun. We're always trying to find out who the superior team is, and we're destined to be right.

Whether it's Brazil against Argentina or Manchester United versus Sydney FC, we don't want our team to lose. Not only that, but these big matches tend to be something special that everyone can enjoy. Especially games in which we have Lionel Messi square off against Cristiano Ronaldo. If your parents loved the sport than it's obvious that your father or mother would love to introduce the great sport into your world. As a kid, you were probably more into the old episodes of 'SpongeBob Squarepants' or the good old cartoons on Disney Channel. Sports probably were the last thing on your mind. Then, out of nowhere, your dad changes the channel, and you're watching the team you will later be fixed to for in three years. Then you finally realise that playing soccer is much more fun than watching cartoons. Your dad decides to explain the rules, and puts you on a team with a bunch of kids you have never met. That's why soccer is also so great. You can make long-lasting friendships as well.

Pride for your team is sticking with them, no matter what happens. Pride is not changing teams because that team has the highest chance of winning. Even if your team had a horrible season or performance in a game, you will always support that club. Everyone who plays soccer probably wants to grow up and be the same thing: a professional soccer player. By playing and watching the sport, you can grow up and make that dream a reality. I love my teams, Barcelona, Chelsea and Man Utd. Anyone can play the sport. It doesn't matter if you're bad at playing and 5'2'. It doesn't matter if you're 6'7' and have biceps the size of my head.
