The Impacts of Distracted Driving on Every Life

Every day is a new day, every day we get another opportunity to improve our self, take a better decision and make an impact on people around us. Some decisions, For example, to drive without any distraction can save the life of a child holding his/her parent's hand while crossing a road or an individual who approach to work in the morning. This seems a very simple thing however this simple decision can save that Kids, parents and any other individual life. Do you agree with your decision? Is it safe to blame yourself for your own decision? When you decide to drive you are taking your life in your own hand but when you decide to distract yourself while driving you are taking other’s lives in your hands.

No one is better or superior distracted while driving than any other driver. In fact, this behavior gives the impression of being judgmental. All the state have standardized regulation while driving, the law and regulation of using a phone while driving is not similar. With the invention of the new technology distracted driving especially cell phone use and texting is the major issue. In mid-80s cell phone usage was made accessible for customer usage. Around 4.5 million individuals were using a cell phone in the mid-90s. According to the Protection Data Assemble, Over the last 15 years, the usage of cell phone usage has increased to 230 million. Along with the cell phone convenience, it comes with the obligation as well. Today a substantial majority of people own cell phone. Technology has moved extremely quickly. Our trust in technology is not the issue, the only issue is how and where we use it.

Distracted driving comes in any form. By definition Distracted driving is the act of driving while engaging in other activities that take drivers attention from the road. Any distraction that will put drivers, passenger and the observer securities life in danger. Despite the issue acknowledgment and imbalance exist. A distinction in how life should admire the supply of conflicting law which is a target to secure that life. There is an undeniable threat with the evidence of the laws that the person driving in one side of the nation more averse and occupied than driving on the opposite side is. While making inquire one question arise “As a driver are we permitted to be safety belt incompletely?” The answer is no. Do you know why? As a driver, citizen and a resident since we were aware that driving without safety belt is not protected. Why the driving law has to be unique? The answer is it shouldn’t. If we are careful and drive safely it will not make any difference what state, city or nation we are in.

Out of fifty states, New Hampshire never had any law regarding the safety belt law for a primary and secondary seat belt for an adult in any seat, although this state has passenger safety law for the passenger's under 18 that covers Child passenger. The wellbeing of life has to be the number one priority. Comparing the law in the different state, passenger safety law is insufficient so additional measures are required to characterize this law. The age factor is very important. Based on age every state has different limitations in cell phone usage while driving. State D.C, Virgin Island, Puerto Rico and Guam restrict for utilizing the handheld cell phone while driving for any age and 37 states and D.C boycott cell phone usage by fledgling drivers.

I want to mention one more time that no individual is considered superior or smart for the distracted driving than the following. We cannot separate any individual based on the age, any age can make mistake while driving distracted. So any child, women, man or elderly people will not make any difference. When you are in the driver’s seat and if you are driving carelessly will not just only affect the driver but it can create a life adjusting destruction to the people around you. If you think that you are better, experience in driving, I will encourage you to rethink because nobody is perfect we all can make mistake. To imagine that we are better to stay away from any minor running into the avenue is totally insane. When you even move your eye for a second you can see that what is in your way. However, there are individuals that they don't take this as a consideration which possible end an existence, destroy their future and devastate a family. So the question is despite all the trouble, is that text, call or the online webpage is that important? If you are in a situation like this most likely your answer is 'yes'. You know your identity better than anybody else. According to cdc.gov, 3,331 individuals were killed in the accident including diverted driving in 2011 compared with 3,267 in 2010. It clearly states that ignorance has increased with the time so somebody has to take initiative to stop.

In conclusion, Life is a valuable thing and in life, the most valuable thing is not things in life. It's the family, friends and the people around you is most important for all. You have to take the ownership of the decision that you made and I have a faith that we can roll out the improvement. US Department of Transportation has moved forward 'First Historically speaking national diverted driving authorization and publicizing effort on April 03, 2014. This certainly brings trust that anytime soon cell phone law will be standardized. Once all the drivers will be dealt equivalent and when the law will be steady starting from that day we can clearly say that we have attempted to change and tried to protect lives.
