The Main Dream of My Life - to Become a Medical Doctor
I decided to write a dream outline to share my passion of working in medical sphere. My passion in life to become a medical Doctor sprouted in me when I was very young. My inspiration came from my mum who is late now who was a Nurse in America who suddenly passed away, which doctor could not understand why. So at that young age, my brother and I always used to say we want to become doctors so we can find out what makes people die and how to save their lives. My brother has fulfilled his dream as becoming a doctor and now it,s my time to fulfil my dream. I don’t like to see people sick or unwell in any way or form, and I am will always be trying to find ways in how I can make them better, whether by making up a herbal drink or cooking more healthier choices of foods to see how they can be well again. I believe it’s my time to go for this opportunity to become a medical Doctor.
I have been a carer/support worker for more than eight years in the care sector, assisting adults and children in residential and nursing homes. Where in working there I have been opportune in my job as a Health care professional to work with dementia patients, autism patients, APHD patients, ASD patients, learning and communication disability patients, epilepsy patients, and patients who are recovering from strokes, cancer and end of life patients. I have also acquired the necessary training to support them with the health challenges on a day to day basis like safeguarding children, safeguarding Adults training, moving and handling the training, fire safety training, administration of medication and the care certificate. So with all these achievements I have obtained within working in the care sector, this has made me become a better healthcare profession and has motivated me to be more determined to achieve my goal as a medical doctor. In my job, I assist residents in the care setting which has made me more confident to provide and give reassurance to patients I work with, as being able to help them understand how to deal with their challenges, frustration and aggression.
This experiences has shown me and helped me to understand the different ways in which I used my talent to care for them and to help them to live a healthy and better life. With all the experience I have achieved in the care sector and the relevant pre-requisition which I have to develop useful attributes. These are excellent communication skills, interpersonal skills, Level 2 functional skills in English and Mathematics, NVQ level 3 Diploma in health and social care, NVQ Level 5 in health and social care and Access to Higher Education.
In conclusion, I firmly believe that I should be among the ones selected for this course. I am a driven hard working person who is always up for a challenge, self-disciplined, confident, very compassionate, very caring, loving person who loves people and don’t like to see them suffer in anyway, in which I am committed to saving lives. Also I like teamwork in which I am capable of working with a team using on an interdisciplinary approach and choosing to became a medical Doctor as a career will help me to fulfil my ambition in saving lives, giving back to our community and achieving my dream. I can only achieve this only if I have the opportunity to study at this universitity, you will not be disappointed.
