A Meaningful Song in My Life

Music is an important part of our life. We relax or, on the contrary, recharge by listening to music, remembering pleasant moments, meditate. In this paper "My Life: A Meaningful Songs Essay" I want to share a song that how I think has a lot of meaning. The first song I ever remember buying was “Lonely” by Akon. I was about 8 years old and I heard this song come on the radio. It made me want to go and buy his album. I remember purchasing this song at my local K-Mart store. I had an old c-d player I got for Christmas of that year and purchase the song as a cd. Therefore, that began my vast collection of R&B music. I can remember listening to this song every day whenever I feel sad. Eventually, I started purchasing many songs that make me feel good inside and what was the spark of trying to explore all genre of listening to various songs in 2001.

The song that always gets me dancing is “Freeze” by T-Pain featuring Chris Brown. There something in this song just makes me move and start dancing cause the vibe and beats are so soothing. In the middle of that song that rhythm of beats and words just connects with the bass. The catchy tune had this phrase “tic tic tic, pop lock and drop it”, so the song persuaded me just to move my body. About that song it just should be a good dance song for any party.

The song that takes me back to my childhood (instead “Lonely”) is “Can't Help Falling in Love" by Elvis Presley. My grandparents would always play this song whenever I would spend the sleepover at their house around the 2000s. They constantly play this song whenever I was always in the living when we would play board games and have baked pastries. My memory was when they played this song making the room feel comfortable and cozy. Every time I spend the night at my grandparents when I was younger, my grandparents love of good classic judgment in music was passed down to me to know how music changed back then to now.

For the best love song, through my entire life is very difficult to choose, but it must be "When A Man Loves A Woman" by Michael Bolton. The lyrics and guitar playing to this song just ease my ears and makes me sing with all my passion. Just need that one person you love to sing "when a man loves a woman, can't keep his mind on nothing else, he'd trade the world, for a good thing he's found" Michael Bolton voice just so heavenly makes this song unbelievable soothing. Also, a lot of artists cover this song, but I prefer the original from Michael Bolton.

. There is no better song for a funeral than my very best funeral song by far must be a song for my grandfather funeral which was "See You Again" by Charlie Puth featuring Wiz Khalifa. This song was dedicated for his death because the whole family thought this song was best fit for this sad moment. The song just changed my heart of mourn and sadness when I thought of him while this song was in the background. I would like this song for my funeral because it just brings warmth and caring to any funeral. My family needed a song that will remember my grandfather and thinking about all the stories we went through. The song creates a soft atmosphere around the place and gives a feel of enlightenment that he will be in a better place. It's believed to be my favorite song for any funeral in that sadness.

If there was one last encore song then would have to be "Just the Way You Are" by Bruno Mars. This song has been one the most anticipated song that was the song at the Super Bowl. I was about 14 years old freshman year in Riverdale Highschool. The beginning of February aired the Super Bowl XLVII in 2014. During the halftime Superbowl, Bruno Mars performs his best hit song to the world. I was just enjoying his voice and passion for performing his song. The song gave me chills and want to download the song onto my playlist whenever you just feel free and alive. This halftime show shared me the experience of this unique song to everyone around the world. Bruno Mars soft, and elegant voice gave the stadium and home that special comfort to everyone around you. All together the audience and people at home was singing along and this song made me sing too. The song creates joy and happy feeling that you like someone for the inside not the outside.

Absolutely these songs just made me feel good inside and have that passion to keep moving forward. I believe that concludes the songs on my playlist. These songs of mine are truly part of something to listen back on throughout my life.
