The Rotten System of Society in the Communist Manifesto

A criminal justice system is created and established by a government in order to control crime and to prosecute those who violate laws. In the United States there is no singular or individual justice system, instead each system is governed by its city, county and state. The social contract is held together in part by the individuals who agree to abide by these laws, and the state, who agree to protect the state and its citizens. But in-order for this to function effectively, people need to believe that the law represents community’s and that justice will be served equally and fairly. Although our land is governed by a social contract and judicial institutions, there is a historical underlying issue rooted in our justice system: racial and ethnic inequalities. In this paper I will shortly examine The Communist Manifesto by Karl Marx to examine how ongoing public policies, institutional practices and a continued denial of human resources.

The Communist Manifesto by Karl Marks describes the oppression and unequal distribution of wealth felt by working class people under Europe's capitalist system. In where the Proletariat --working class-- fight for economic and social equality with the ruling class the Bourgeois. Marx also gives a detailed history on how the Bourgeoisie changed, “the relationships that bound people to their superiors” and instead shifted that relationship to fit a more capitalistic view of self-interest and rendered to a mere, “money transaction.”

Marx writes, “Hitherto, every form of society has been based, as we have already seen, on the antagonism of oppressing and oppressed classes. But in order to oppress a class, certain conditions must be assured to it under which it can, at least, continue its slavish existence”. The Bourgeois have created a system that has created a distinction between the working class and the ruling class as social inequalities continue to create a gap. The manipulation of the system by the Bourgeois is similar to the manipulation seen in the American social justice systems. Marx explains that in-order for this oppression and exploitation to end, the working class must overthrow the bourgeois and their social structures. The manipulation of social systems creates horrible socioeconomic conditions for the working class. It is then enforced by unfair laws that allow the bourgeois to further exploit the workforce with poor minimum wage jobs.

Overall in the Communist Manifesto Karl Marx argues that the elimination and/or justice will not come through peaceful or democratic movements but instead will come through the removal of social classes.
