Despite having a busy schedule, everyone loves to travel regardless of age, status or background. For majority, this is to take time away from work and spend quality time with family or friends. For others, this is a chance to gain new experiences and have a sense of adventure. When we were kids, a simple trip to the supermarket or the toy store was fun. Later on in school, going on a fieldtrip with the class was exciting. When we start a new job, a company outing or a team building event was something we look forward to. Upon retirement, you have made your bucket list on the places you wanted to visit; for sure this includes a Mediterranean cruise or a trip to the Maldives.
Nowadays, though the demands of everyday life is getting tougher, travelling is easier and more accessible than before. A short weekend getaway with the family or friends by the beach, or going to a newly opened restaurant in another city with a little bit of sightseeing are one of the simple pleasures one can enjoy. For those who have not seen their families while working abroad, going back home is something they look forward to. Another is perhaps, attending a friend's wedding or a school reunion to name a few.
To make things more exciting, one may be looking for change. There are endless options right now which includes: taking the longest Zip Line in the world in the UAE, climbing the Mount Everest or trekking the Amazon Forest and learning the life of the local people and their dialect. Another interest could be for the love of food and trying the local cuisine, such as taking a cheese and chocolate tour in Switzerland. It could also be for health and healing purposes such as going to a resort which includes yoga classes, detox massages and overall wellbeing treatment in India or Thailand.
In conclusion, we are creatures who always seek for more knowledge and understanding. We should always seize the opportunity when we have the chance to travel. Though we travel for different purposes and needs, travelling opens up our senses and expands other possibilities that we do not know. We get the opportunity to grow in different ways by getting to know each other and appreciate the beauty of diversity in this world. Creating new memories from every trip is more valuable than anything else and a good learning experience. Though it may be tiring for some, we always return feeling refreshed and rejuvenated after a having good break.
