Unity and Solidarity - the Urgent Need for Society of Pakistan
Unity or soildarity - it is being together or at one with someone or something. It's the opposite of being divided. This is a word for togetherness or oneness. National unity is the first and foremost necessity of peaceful and prosperous country. No one can deny the fact that unity is safety. Disunity results in fall of the countries. There are many examples in the history of the world when due to lack of national unity there have been internal as well as external dangers to the security and survival of countries. In our history also, we lost East Pakistan due to lack of national unity.
The present situation of national unity is not very bright and encouraging. We are the worst victims of disunity. Our religion gave the message of unity and love to the completely human race but we have turned the tables. We have become totally disunited. We have developed different political groups, caste system and even religious sects. These trends have proved and are still proving to be very costly. We are inwardly as well as outwardly in danger. Our enemies are within and outside the country. Often the newspapers reflect this disunity. We have lost one part of the country. One of our neighbors is a constant danger for us but still we have not learnt any lesson from our past mistakes.
There is no doubt that Pakistan is passing through the most critical period of its history. The terrorism, sectarianism, corruption, political unrest and economic crisis are causing a threat to its solidarity. To make Pakistan powerful and prosperous national unity is necessary. Only our national unity and solidarity can promise our safety. Therefore, in order to live a happy and secure life. We should try to uproot all the differences. All the clashes and all the obstacles that are there. On the other hand, Pakistan is an Islamic republic and our religion Islam teaches us unity and co-operation. Islam is a religion of unity, solidarity and fraternity. So, if we make Pakistan a true Islamic state that will unite us more strongly and more easily than any other way.
Issues in the National Unity in Pakistan
In Pakistan many political parties have exist. These political parties have thousands of members. These members are come in the parliament from different parts of the country. For example, Pakistan have for provinces except Islamabad capital territory Fata, Azad Jammu Kashmir and Gilgit Baltistan. In Punjab, punjabis are in penalty. While in Sindh, Sandhi’s are in penalty. In Baluchistan , blochis are in majority. Pakistan is a federal satete and provinces are under federal government work. These provinces are thought that the federal government do not cooperate with them. Thats why the all provinces donot cooperate with federal govermment .
The unity is break here. All the provinces thought that the government do not give their rights to them. Now the Pakistani nation is mired in all sorts of differences. Sometimes there are quarrels due to partisanship; sometimes there are riots in the name of caste. Besides, terrorism is an element that has made the Pakistani nation. Not everyone is the same in our country because some people are rich, some people are poor, some people are very rich, some people are very poor, rich people do not want to be the support of the poor. And those who are poor are so poor that they do not get two meals a day properly. The rich do not like to get up and sit with the poor and walk and then do not like to eat or drink. They begin to understand that due to which unity cannot be maintained in the atmosphere of the country and mutual unity is shattered.
Solidarity and unity in our country is so weak that the curriculum taught in our government schools and the curriculum taught in private schools are so different that the number of children studying in private schools is less than the number of children studying in government schools. And they think that they don't like to talk to them or even if they talk, they start taunting them. Even in our country, sectarianism has increased largely even on religious grounds. We do not like and Sunnis do not like Shiites. Even though we are Muslims, despite being the ummah of the same Prophet (PBUH) our prayers are different, our fasting times are different, and our weak unity and Due to solidarity, our country is still far below other countries in the world. Both in development and in education.
Our country would have the same weak solidarity and due to weak unity the growth rate has fallen so low that we are so immersed in the loans taken from the IMF that millions of rupees will be spent on our future generations. According to him, there is a debt. Our politicians who play an important role in running our country do not have unity among themselves. The government abuses the opposition. The incoming government tries to absolve itself by placing all the blame on the previous government.
If we want to develop and we want our country to become one of the developed nations of the world, then we must unite now and present a model of national unity and solidarity that other nations of the world will try to learn from us. We have to get out of the party and think for ourselves, for our nation, for our future generations and above all for the interests of our country. If we start thinking like this and be deceived. If we stop chewing yogurt, then surely, we can become a good nation and also a developed nation.
Because if we are united, if we care about each others with pure solidarity, our nation will be hardworking, we will be united, then surely our politicians, our bureaucrats will also unite and start working for the development of the country and of course our country will be developed in the world in a few years. And will be stand in the list of developed countries. And the countries from which we learn today they will surely be forced to learn from us tomorrow.
