Waste Segregation as a Method of Pollution Control
What is a waste segregation? This waste segregation essay will shortly analyse what does it means, how it works and its role in modern world. Waste segregation is the process of separating of waste according to their label if they belong in non-biodegradable, biodegradable or recyclable materials.
A non-biodegradable materials is waste or material that can cause environmental problems like pollution. The non-biodegradable materials like plastics that we use to cover or wrap our foods such as junkfoods, juice, biscuits or bread, etc. While biodegradable materials or waste can be easily decomposed by natural organism and this can’t cause or create pollution. The example of biodegradable are food waste like banana peel that we can use as fertilizer for plants and another example is human waste.
Recyclable materials are process of making or creating new materials using old materials that we don’t already use or things that we considered already as a trash. The example of recyclable materials are plastic or water bottle that many students in public school use as pot for plants it does not only helps the many students to become creative but it also helps them to learn how to protect and love the mother nature. And practice the segregation of waste through minded people.
Some people see the practice of segregating waste as complex thing for their house or even in the school. They taught that segregating is just consuming time because you need to assess and to make steps in seperating a trash from the another trash. They believe that all rubbish are the same. As the person with high knowledge and understanding about the help of segregating waste in our mother earth, this person needs to share and partake his or her knowldge about the concept of waste segregation. It is good to see a community and if possible, a country that is knowledgeable about the relevance of segregating bins. If it will do so, this world in the future will definitely far from the world we are standing now. Landfilled and occupies space, air and water pollution rates are considerably lowered. This will happen if the segregation of trash will impliment starting at the own home. Because of wrong throwing of trash, this bins clogged at the canal that cause storm surge when the heavy rainfall come. And because this desegregated trash came to the water bodies such as beach, river and other water bodies, this will cause a water pollution that is bad for our lungs if we swallowed it.
In conclusion, segregation has a big contribution and helped to stop the pollution in water and having a great storm surge when the disaster came.
