What Youtube Has Taught You
Click, click, click the keys went as the teenage boy typed in YouTube to learn about algebra. Is the purpose of YouTube is to teach and entertain because I believe it is? There is a discussion going on today about “What Has YouTube Taught You”.
The discussion is about whether the app (YouTube) that over 1 billion people use today teaches you something. Do you think that YouTube teaches you something? Well, I think that YouTube teaches you many things because YouTube has taught me many things. Specifically, YouTube taught me to understand my core subjects ELA, Math, Science, and Social Studies. It also taught me how to fix and make things.
First of all, One subject that YouTube taught me how to understand is math. For instance, It taught me how to understand how to divide fractions. Another subject that YouTube has taught me to understand is science. For example, it taught me about plant and animal cells. YouTube also taught me about social studies. Lastly, I also watch P.E videos to increase my speed and abilities.
In addition YouTube also taught me how to fix things. Specifically YouTube taught me how to fix things like my laptop, phone, and if something broke it taught me how to put it back together, like if you ever broke a vase YouTube will tell you what glue to put it back together with. There was this one time when my laptop just cut and whatever I did it would not come on so I went to YouTube and there was this video with people that had the exact same problem as me and they fixed theirs and taught me how to fix mines.
One other thing that YouTube has taught is how to make stuff. Some of the things that YouTube has taught me how to make is food. Foods that YouTube taught me how to includes chicken, rice, and pancakes. There was this one time when I was home alone and I was hungry. I didn’t know how to cook so I went to YouTube and it taught me how to some foods.
Some people might think that YouTube doesn’t teaches you anything at all. In particular some of their reason why they think that YouTube doesn’t teaches you anything might be about music videos or any videos for that matter with inappropriate behavior. Second, News about gangs and other bad things might be too graphic for young people. Compared to the news on regular T.V channels like “GOODMORNING AMERICA” or “CNN”. “CNN” is about news all over the world and “GOOD MORNING AMERICA” is about news right here in the states, but YouTube news on the other hand is about everything like killing, robbing, and jail and many more bad things. However to go back to my central claim I still believe that YouTube teaches you many great things.
In conclusion, I still believe that YouTube teaches you many things because it has taught me many things. I also believe that YouTube is very good for people.
