Women In Business Are Not Worse Than Men

It is not about gender, it is about experience, leadership, and vision. In the past, discrimination between men and women was widespread in all areas of society. Gender inequality can, therefore, be the obstacle of women to work in society. Gender inequality in the labor market negatively impacts women on health status. For example, the workplace obviously is another area that women play a less important role than men. However, on this day, people tend to accept the real skills and possibilities of women which they can also sometimes work more productive than men in some positions. Many women from history, such as Theresa May (Prime Minister of the United Kingdom) and Angela Merkel (Chancellor Germany) show that they also have enough potential to work professionally or even being the leaders in the company. I want to tell through my research that not only men have the ability to work, but women have their own benefits, such as leadership skills and creating innovation when they come to work. This will help other people to see and think women are more valuable than just doing housework and responsible for simple duties. In my perspective, I argue that gender is not an indicator of a person’s quality work performance, such that, women can also work as productively as men do. Firstly, if women and men work together, they will help to create innovation. Women can share an idea, experience, and knowledge, which are definitely different from men, with men in order to make the performance better than before. For example, women often bring multidimensional interests, such as cooking, to discuss in the workplace. Because of this, other colleagues would have a chance to share their perspectives on that topic which makes colleagues perceive new things and create creativity. Reynolds (2017) stated that companies with a high diversity workforce would be more successful and earn 19 percent higher revenue because of innovation from diversity. The frequent discussion will help working performance better than rarely communication. Moreover, “New Research Shows” (2016) said that most job seekers want to have a more diverse workforce because it benefits their companies more than just men in the workplace. Women positively affect working performance of the company about creating creativity and new innovations.

Moreover, if women collaborate with men, the work will be more effective and creative because of the combination of various and diverse ideas and perspectives. On the other hand, my opposing view shows that it can create conflict in workplaces. There will be many opinions of women and men. Leaders sometimes may be difficult to choose which ideas are better. Moreover, it leads to an argument among colleagues which may delay the planning process of the project. In addition, the one who is idea is not used, or leaders like other people’s ideas than his or her ideas may not want or be brave enough to share their ideas in the next project. If there are too many diversities in the workplace, that means there will be many opinions and ideas from both men and women. Therefore, it is more difficult for leaders to choose which ideas or concepts that they want to use. Moreover, the frameworks that are planned could be delayed because the leaders have to carefully choose the best ideas or concepts. Secondly, women are very suitable in a leadership position. When women come to work at this position, they tend to work better than men because women use social and emotional intelligence more than men. Women can work effectively in a leadership position. An empathy that is included in emotional and social intelligence is one of the crucial factors for being leaders, which if the boss or leader has this, it will help their team to feel more relaxed and happier and productive because their leader truly understands workers’ feeling and thinking without the workers have to say anything. This can make this kind of leader to build social connections with their employees easier and make the working ambiance more relaxing. “New Research Shows” (2016) shows that men have less 45 percent than women in empathy. Leaders with emotional and social intelligence will make the employees decide whether how long they will stay at this company. Women use 86 percent of the emotional self-awareness more than men consistently. Typically, the employees want to stay with the leaders who have an average of emotional intelligence regularly for more than 5 years. With this kind of leader, the company will earn more revenue and produce effective performance. Moreover, men also can benefit from women who have the skills of a leader. They can learn how to lead the members and how women organize and do the project in order to adapt to use with themselves when the chance comes to them. Women can use social and emotional intelligence skills to lead and manage the projects and employees more effective and productive. If I am the one employee of this kind of leader, I will try my best to effectively complete and work on the projects for my kind leaders. On the contrary, normally, my opponent says that people agree that women tend to allow hormonal problems to reflect in their moods and behaviors at work. Women have premenstrual problems, which are hormonal fluctuations in a woman's body, which can affect work performance. If women have a menstrual period on crucial days, such as presentation day, women could not control their moods and present the projects ineffectively because menstrual period makes women feel moody and stomachache. Consequently, it could make customers unsatisfied with women. Moreover, when the pressure is on women, women are more difficult to make a decision.

However, men would try to remain calm and find solutions to problems. Therefore, effective leaders should have strong confidence in order to be firm to make any crucial decisions to boost companies’ performance, which is more suitable for men’s stereotype of being leaders. In conclusion, the women’s stereotype makes other people think and consider that women would make a decision based on their emotions and feelings. Moreover, working would be disturbed by women conditions, such as premenstrual problems. This will make working performance less productive than having men as a leader of the company. The conflict would occur in the workplace from too many opinions and ideas from men and women. However, diversity in the workplace still important. Therefore, companies or leaders should find solutions to a huge amount of opinions and ideas from men and women. If companies do not have new ideas or innovations, how your companies can conquer other companies. Therefore, there are some solutions to too many opinions from diverse colleagues. The teams should set the framework of the project in order to control the ideas of employees not to be too wide based on criteria. The leaders also have to be brave and decisive to choose the best opinion in order to boost the company's performance. Although diversity in the workplace could make working more disorder, companies need this disorder in order to make companies more productive and gain a lot of profits from new ideas and innovations. Even though women are more likely to make a decision based on their hormonal problems and feeling, men also sometimes use their emotions and hormones to decide what to do. However, men use emotions less than women when they make a decision. For example, in parts of the guilty, men would also feel less guilt and shame than women when they are doing immoral actions in order to earn a lot of their own revenues, such as lying on one’s taxes. In addition, men feel less negatively when they do this immoral behaviour.

Therefore, women are more suitable in the high positions in the companies, such as leaders, because women would work and behave honestly, and companies would gain high revenues from women’s working. Lastly, although women use emotions and hormones to make a decision, men also use hormones as women but less than women. In conclusion, I want to show and demonstrate that women also have capabilities to work like men. This problem existed in the past. Women were limited in the house to do simple duties, such as housekeeping. However, on this day, women become more accepted for many places. This paper will help women to know and learn from other women’s models that what strength they can apply to use in the workplace. It can also encourage women to go out for work rather than staying in the houses. For example, from the research, the leadership position is more suitable for women because women have more emotional and social intelligence more than men, which is an important factor in managing and working with employees. In addition, if women and men work together in the workplace, it will create new innovation and ways in businesses because diversity leads to a working with different people more than just working with the same person or gender every day. As a suggestion, we need to have both men and women to make a crucial decision in the companies in order to make companies balance and relieve the tension on making a decision because men can deal with making crucial decisions, and women have social sensitivity more than men. The team with both men and women frequently making good decision. This research will help people to understand and know that women also have capabilities to work in more complex work than just doing housework and take care of their children. Women will be more valuable than in the past.
