Adolf Hitler (The Life Of Adolf Hitler And His Accomplishes)

Adolf Hitler was an important part of WWII. He was a fascist leader and his agenda led to the murders of over 11 million people, including 6 million Jews. Adolf grew up in an abusive family. Before Adolf was born his family had had some tragic events happen. Hitler's father Alois Hitler had some troubles in his relationship. Alois had married a rich older women Anna Glasl but immediately started to have affairs. One of the affairs was with their very young house servant Franziska Matzelsberger. A few years later he left his wife for his mistress. Since the catholic church didn't allow divorce at the time he couldn't marry his mistress. He waited for his wife to die and had 2 children (Alois jr and Angela) in the middle of it. His mistress became sick and employed his very young cousin Klara. When his new wife died he immediately got Klara pregnant and then married her. They had 3 children (Gustav, Otta and Ida) who died while in infancy. Then a fourth child came along. His name was Adolf. They had 2 more children(Edmund and Paula).

The family moved around for a bit which meant Adolf would have to attend 5 different schools. Alois Hitler (the dad) was strict and abusive. He would take out the anger on Alois jr the oldest son until he ran away at the age of 14. Adolf was now doing most of the chores and was getting berated by his father. This would lead to a bad relationship with his dad and an even closer one to his mother. Adolf would do well in school and would get along well with students. He also loved to read. He mainly read books about cowboys and indians. As Adolf became older he started to get into trouble. He would be caught smoking, organizing raids on local orchards and tormenting his teachers. All of this made Adolf’s dad very angry. Adolf was severely punished.

Later Adolf would become very interested in politics, but since his dad was an Austrian public official Adolf got big into German nationalism. This made Adolf’s dad very angry and Adolf was severely punished. Soon a tragic would happen in the family. Adolf’s six year old brother Edmund, which Adolf was very close too passed away from measles when Adolf was 10. Edmund was buried in a cemetery near Adolf’s home. People noticed that there was a change in Adolf’s personality. Strange behaviour like talking to trees and staying up late to watch stars. He lost interest in religion and his grades plummeted. This made Alois very angry which made Adolf get severly punished. He had to repeat grades and had little interest in school subjects. He instead wrote and drew things that were thought to be quite good. One day Alois said to Adolf that he’ll become a politician but Hitler refused and said he would become and artist.

This made Alois even more angry but by this point he just gave up and died of a lung hemorrhage. Hitler dropped out of school and basically did nothing for 3 years. He thought he was better than everyone and started to act like his father. At 18 he moved out and went to vienna to take the entrance exam for art school for which he failed. Soon he returned because his mother was sick. Adolf stayed by her side until she died. Then Adolf returned to Vienna to find a job in the arts. He never did. This caused him to go homeless and spend years going in and out of homeless shelters. Anti semitism was widespread across the city. Hitler supported this. Hitler would buy into the conspiracy theories and became a firm believer that there were many different races in constant struggle with each other. He believed Germans were number one and Jews were just scum. When Hitler was 24 he moved to Munich to avoid military service. For 1 more year Hitler was a drifter on the streets until something great happened. In 1914 long standing tensions in Europe started WW1. Crowds across Europe celebrated the news. Within a couple of days Hitler volunteered for the german army. This gave Hitler a purpose in life. It gave him friendship and brotherhood.

Despite the horrors of war Hitler considered it to be the best time of this life. Hitler was a brave soldier and was awarded the Iron Cross 1st class. He was very lucky and had many encounters with death. In 1916 however an artillery shell injured his leg. This forced him to return back to Germany were he was outraged to find a general apathetic type anti-war attitude among the exhausted hungry german population. He returned to battle until one day in 1918 he was blinded by British gas. A month later while he was recovering in a hospital Hitler learned of Germany’s defeat and surrender.

Hitler after seeing how the defeat embarrassed the German people went into rage mode and blamed communists and Jews who he believed stabbed Germany in the back by spreading anti-war propaganda. After Germany had to disassemble their army to just 100,000 Hitler could no longer be a soldier after the war. He would still work for the army as an informant. After the war communists in Germany tried to start a revolution and the government was worried about communism in general. The government made Hitler in charge of infiltrating and reporting on any new political parties that could pose as a communist threat. The new party called “German Workers Party” threw up a whole bunch of red flags so Hitler went along to one of there meetings but found out that they were not communist at all. They were extreme right and shared many of Hitler's extreme beliefs. Hitler then left the army and signed up to join the party. His amazing speaking abilities impressed the parties leaders and supporters which made Hitler quickly rise to the top. Hitler decided that the party needed a makeover so he renamed the party to the “Nationalsozialistische Deutsche Arbeiterpartei” or Nazi for short. He gave it a new colour and symbol.

The Nazi’s were not very specific on policy but Hitler made extravigant promises to return Germany to it’s former glory by on doing the Treaty of Versailles and reunting all ethnic Germans into one great nation. He also mentioned that only pure Aryans or Germans should be allowed to be citizens and that all Jews would lose their citizenship. These ideas were already common in extreme right parties but what made the Nazi’s different is that they had Hitler himself. This made the Nazi’s the leading party on the extreme right. Many of the political parties in Germany at the time had pari military wings and the Nazi’s were no different.

Hitler set up the very descriptive hall protection detachment later changed to the very basic “gymnastic and sport division” and finally settling on the SA or “Storm detachment”. There job was to defend Nazi party meetings and intimidate opponients. They would usually get in battles with communists on the streets or starting brawls. Since the Allies demanded a reduction in Germany's military size many trained soldiers were left without jobs. They like the Nazi idiology and it was only natural for them to join the SA. This made the SA grow larger over time. The New Democratic Government formed after WW1 was very weak and ineffective. In order to pay reparations to the Allies it had to start making more money. The problem was that making money does not actually give a country more money, it just makes the money worth less. As the country continued to make more and more money there currency started to become less and less. This caused the money to be worth barely anything. In such an economic crisis Germany struggled to pay the Allies. The French were very angry about this so they occupied the Ruhr an area full of factories and took the economic output area as payment. They would treat the German people horrible and approximately 130 Germans were killed during the occupation.

The German people became furious and the Nazi’s now thought that now would be a great time to lead a revolution. In November 1923 inspired by Benito Mussolini Hitler stormed the beer hall and called for an uprising against the government. With his supporters he marched on the streets of Munich hoping the police would join his side, But they did not. Hitler was now on trial for treason. He could've been sentenced to life but the right wing judges thought he was a good politician. Hitler knew the judges and knew that they would be lenient. So he took the opportunity to make impassioned speeches during the trial and in the end he was sentenced to 5 years in prison of which he only served for 9 months. During that time Hitler wrote a book called Mein Kampf.

The whole thing covered by the media nation wide and it made hitler famous. Hitler and his extreme messages were now known throughout Germany. Still the majority population did not care about Hitler. In 1928 election the Nazi’s only gotabout 2. 6% of the votes. Many people were still intimidated by the violence and shouting and how un-politician he was, but then a new economic crisis would change all of that. To help Germany pay some its reparations America agreed to give them loans. In October 1929 the “Wall street crash” happened and America wanted it’s money back. The economic strain this put on already struggling Germany was severe. Unemployment grew more and more and poverty was widespread and Germans were sick of it. It was clear that the newly formed democracy was not working. In the midst of the crisis Germans started moving into the political extremes. If you were German and wanted change you were either communist or Nazi.

Hitler said he was the only one who could bring Germany back to its glory. The Nazi party used propoganda to make Hitler seem like a great and powerful man. They then gave Germans people who they could blame for all their suffering. The promise of a single strong dictator was a breath of fresh air for Germans after years of failing democracy. Many people who voted for the Nazi party had no idea wjat they were doing. Election after election the Nazis become more powerful. Until 1932 they became the biggest party in the German parliament. Hitler came to truly believe he was truly a saviour of Germany. He had crazy beliefs and then ran for president were he lost in elections to Hindenburg. He then settled for chancellor of Germany in 1933 but he was not yet a dictator In February the German Parliament building was set on fire. Hitler convinced Hindenburg that the communists did it. Hitler sent them all away to concentration camps.

At this time Hindenburg passed away giving Hitler the perfect opportunity. Hitler came up with a law that made it so Hitler could make all laws and decisions entirely on his own. With his political enemies locked up and the SA’s intimidating others the law passed. Just 2-3 months after becoming chancellor he was now a dictator. He still had one problem. The leader of the SA Ernst Röhm wanted the SA to take over the job of the regular German army. The German army hated this idea. So one night in 1934 Hitler rounded up all SA officers and leaders and murdered them. While he was at it he took the opportunity to settle personal scores as well.

Politicians who disagreed with him, reporters who wrote bad things about him and even innocent family who they thought were someone else. In total up to 200 people were killed. This was called “Night of the Long Knives”. The army now satisfied they wouldn't be replaced pledged total allegiance to the new fuhrer Adolf Hitler. His control was now absolute. Life in Germany changed violently. Freedom was taken away, Jews were murdered by the millions and Germany was ruined by bombs, bullets and bodies. On April 30th Hitler shot himself in his secret bunker. That's the life of Hitler.
