An Analysis of Personal Experience in Bangalore City
Termed as capital city of Karnataka, Bangalore city is popular for its IT hub, nightlife and quality education. Bangalore is a beautiful city of India which has many places to look for and get refreshed and enjoy. From the amusement parks like Wonderla to the green parks like Lalbagh gardens and busy areas like MG road (Mahatma Gandhi road) and Shivaji nagar. This city has everything from tallest skyscraper to little houses of residences. This city has everything to look out for.
Having joined the Indian hospitality to learn and explore my horizon, I usually have less time for these fun stuffs. Because of long hour shifts and more requirements at work I am unable to visit many places but when I get chances I have made them count by visiting numerous places in this short span of time. It is the third most populated city of India so the crowd and traffic is heavy in Bangalore. I am residing in the PG in place called Basavanagar, Hoodi, Whitefield area of Bangalore. It is actually in the outskirts of the city and away from busy cities like UB city and brigade gateway. I along with my 70-80 college mates are residing in the same locality between different PGs. That itself is a new and wonderful experience where I can learn and enjoy friendship where everything seems new to us. All of us support each other emotionally or financially at times that is the advantage I have gained during this time in India.
Since I landed on the Kempengowda International Airport on January 12, I have experienced numerous new things first of all it was my first international flight to any new country and in the other hand being far from my comfort zone going far from my home country felt very different. We landed airport by 5:30 pm and we were picked up by our friends and after one and half hour ride from airport we reached our residence. During this travel I got to see brief about the infrastructure of the city and got to know how big the city was. This city felt unique as they don’t prefer Hindi language but prefer local language Kannada so I faced numerous difficulties in local vehicles, shops, auto rickshaws and so on. Some local understand Hindi or English but some understand very less so this was also some challenge for me. About my hotel Sheraton Grand Whitefield, the staffs are well educated and we can communicate in both English and Hindi as preferred which is a bit easy for us. Getting to experience what Indian hospitality is all about is also a pleasant experience which I got by visiting Bangalore. Diverse working culture and different food and cuisine is also experience that has given me positive learning.
Food available here is very different then what we have been eating in our home. The cooking style and ingredients also differs so I had some issues with my food as well. In my first two or three days I faced problems in my stomach because of the differences in food. I have enjoyed all the aspects of Bengaluru but I am unable to enjoy the food. During this time I eat these foods just to fulfill my hunger and get energy but not to enjoy it. At times we cook ourselves to enjoy the home style food. I have visited places like Lalbagh botanical garden where we saw various vegetations, flower species, sound greenery and peaceful environment. I have also been to go cart racing where we drove vehicles in high speed to pump our adrenaline. I have visited to Nandi hills one of the tourist landmarks of the city and also visited some of the temples. Among the paces I have visited MG road, Brigade gateway, Aloft hotel Bengaluru, Shivajinagar and many more. There are plenty of places here to roam around and I feel lucky that in this short span of time I got chance to visit these many places. My experience about Bangalore so far has been very positive and good overall. Excluding some factors like hot climate and food available here, the time I have been spending have been very pleasant and will be fruitful for my future endeavors.
I have been to many outdoor caterings from my hotel which is a whole new experience. These opportunities have given me chances to roam around Bangalore city and to know the public here. I have been to 6,000 guests ODC and had a chance to see how to work on massive pressure situations and have presence of mind in those situations as well. I have been around 4 Outdoor Caterings during my time in Sheraton where I have to deal with massive crowds of people which we normally don’t see in our native place. Though the duty hours were too long I was able to take care of myself and take out spare time to engage and enjoy with my friends and talk to my family. These days I have spend in Bangalore will be a big asset for me to go ahead in my future because it has taught me to build time management, skills development, improved communication skill, and so on. My experience in Bangalore will be memorable in my whole life and in future if I get a chance I will surely come back to visit this beautiful city.
