Reaction
The story of the movie is great. I rate it 8 out of 10 because of some scenes are obviously scripted or not acted properly. Example scene where they attended a wake. The wife of mayor and wife of Cesar talked. The line they said, I saw it scripted. On the first half of the movie I felt normal because the sequence of the scenes well controlled I did not feel tedious. I thought Berto is bad person because there is a scene where Berto saw Kaula sleeping while her legs are spread and made a way to let Kuala sleep in his house. While Berto is taking good care of Kuala I change my thoughts to Berto into a good. Second half I’m still waiting for the climax where Cesar will be accused of what he did to Kuala. But it did not happen. I did not expect that Berto and Kuala will die in the movie I thought they will live together with their child in bahay kubo that he found in the mountain. I’m bothered because I can’t find Christopher De Leon in the movie after I searched the cast I’m slightly upset that he was the one who played Junior.
There is one strange character in the movie, Milagros. Milagros is simple and quiet but there is a “Malandi” inside her. I think why the writer titled it “Tinimbang ka ngunit kulang” in my own understanding, if we are weighed it should he equal to others because we are all the same human being living in the same world. Kuala and Berto weighed but found wanting. They are wanting of social respect, love and humanity. Junior saw all the bad attitude in his town. He is the one who showed kindness and respect to them.
