A British famous tennis player who has an OBE for his remarkable talent, his name is Andy Murry a Scottish born. Its states he ranked number one in the world. It suggests Murray, learnt basic tennis inside the house with just cereal box ,biscuit tins and packet of balloons.it appears that Andy Murray mother invented this game while it was always raining at their home in Dunblane Scotland to keep him and his other brother james which he was 15 months older, occupied because they didn’t have much money to do thing much activities. It states that their mother Judy had at least 30 years’ experience as a coach teaching the locals children at the tennis club ,which her two sons didn’t really know about tennis and didn’t play .Judy states that how her son Jamie, is also a five time slam doubles winner, and Andy had their first rally not with a tennis ball and racket but with a balloon in the living room. Judy the mother didn’t think anything from this, but she got the balloon, the balloon was great idea because the balloon didn’t break any windows, she states that they would pass balloon back and forwards. Also using another balloon and keep the balloons in air.it appears they had few games what the mother invented the most liked was using a ping pong ball by using cereal box ,two biscuit tin lids which the ping bong ball which was only thing they had to pay for. From this the boys started to like the game of tennis.
'I became very creative with my coaching because I realized that, in general, children don't want to listen to their parents, and they don't want to be taught by their parents. So, if you can get them to play games that will do the teaching for you.' (Murry J)
It appears that Andy Murray mother states she’s not a pushy parent, but it states if there would be a competition in Great Britain for a busy parent it would be Judy Murray and would be a lead contender. It states even the professional Boris Becker stated that, Andy need to have some space from his mother. was hinting that Andy Murray mother was holding him back and it appears that some think Judy’s constant presence rather than encouraging him is damaging. As Judy Murray defenses herself by stating that people think I’m always there beside Andy, which isn’t true and we`re hardly in the same place. It suggests she’s was promoting her tennis Scotland; it appears when Andy and his brother was growing up, they started to like the game of tennis following this their mother started to coach them. Judy was herself was a keen player She states there wasn’t any indoor counts, so she had to play tennis in the summer and badminton in the winter months.
its states she won 64 titles in Scotland in her junior an senior years ,she started to have a go ,ongoing on professional tour in 1976 .BUT she didn’t like the touring and come home stating she was robbed in Barcelona and scared her. She then studied at Edinburgh university, studying French and German before she decided that German wasn’t for her and ended up doing business studies. After finishing from representing in Great Britain for doing world student games in 1981, she starts coaching, so this is when her expertise took hold and started coaching her sons.
So, it suggests in her defense 'Being pushy is the worst thing a parent can be – if you push your children, you stop them enjoying whatever it is they're good at,' (Murray J 2011)
Andy Murray in his youth he states he stopped playing tennis he states ,my mum and dad didn’t tell me to play tennis there was no pressure if they did pile on the pressure I would of definitely got burnt out because I’m in a lot of pressure these days so I would of handled it and it would have been to much.it appears that’s Judy is serious about the value of playing games with young children ,so that she stated a campaign called set4sport ,this encourages parents to do that. The campaign involves doing all around the country doing roadshows, she offers a booking to do step by step guide to the games she played with her boys when they were young.
It appears that Judy was an tennis obsessed ,and just a mad - keen enthusiasm for the game also she mentioned there a difference between people who push their children to do things and people who to make things happen for their kids .
