Biography And Career Of Adam Levine – The Lead Vocalist Of Maroon 5
Adam Levine is the lead vocalist of Pop and R&B music band Maroon 5. He is a song writer, actor, activist, television star and businessman.
Adam was born in March 18 1979 in Los Angeles, California. Over the years, he and the Maroon 5 have had quite a successful musical career after their first album “Songs about Jane” became a hit in 2002 as “Best New Artist” and again the following year as “Best Pop Performance by a Group with vocals for the single “This Love”. The single “Makes me wonder” from their album “It won’t be soon before long” won a Grammy Award in 2006. Their fourth album “Overexposed” included hit singles like “one more night” and “Payphone”. In 2011 they released a digital single “Move like Jagger” which became an international success selling over 8 million copies. In 2014 they released the album “V” which also included chart topping singles like “Maps” and “Animals”. “Red Pills Blues” was their 2017 album which featured hits songs like “What lovers do” and “Wait”.
However, the Maroon 5 was not Adam Levine’s first attempt at a successful music career. As far back as 1994, he and 3 of his high school buddies Jesse Carmichael, Mickey Madden and Ryan Dusick formed a band called Kara’s Flowers (named after a girl they had a collective crush on). Their first album “Fourth World” released in 1997 was not successful so the band split up. They regrouped again in 2000 changing their name to the Maroon 5 and adding another guitarist James Valentine. This addition was meant to free up Adam Levine to act more efficiently as the Front Vocalist.
Adam Levine has stood out of the Maroon 5 Band not only as the front man but also as in his versatility outside the band. He made 2 TV comedy appearances on “Saturday Night Live’ and “Night of too Manny Stars” in 2007 respectively. He was a Judge/coach in “The Voice” reality TV show and won in 3 seasons. He starred a role on “American Horror Story” Television series. He has also taken part in an awareness program for Attention Deficiency/Hyperactivity Disease and testicular cancer (where he actually posed nude!). Adam is also a gay rights activist.
Adam Levine’s versatility in diversifying into Television shows and series, activism, fashion and entrepreneurship along with his high tenor voice and snaky handsome look has made him not only an international “Sex Symbol” but by a very wide margin the most famous member of the Maroon 5 music band. Yet he has revealed that he has no plans anytime in the future of breaking out and going solo.
