Birth Control: the Option of Abortion and Adoption

About half of Australia's births were unplanned. As we all know, no method of contraception is 100% effective, but some are effective at 98%-99%, which can be reduced to unplanned pregnancies. Sometimes a female may not be able to negotiate contraception use because of the influence of alcohol or other drugs, lack of power in decision making relationships, or being forced or coerced into having sex. The paper would suggest that abortion is not always an option for unplanned pregnancies, other options such as adoption, birth control, putting the baby in foster care or placing the baby with a family member are also available. This birth control argumentative essay will argue that abortion is not always the only option for planned or unplanned pregnancy and that there are other alternatives such as adoption, co-parenting or counselling to help with pregnancy, or even birth control to avoid unplanned pregnancy.

Adoption is yet another way to provide the baby with a family that is not able to reside with their birth family. Adoption is lot easier to deal with unplanned pregnancy and pregnancy. In any case, if the mother does not want the child or is not able to support the child rather than having an abortion, the mother can offer the child up for adoption. There are many parents who want to adopt a baby or adopt a baby. Some couples are unable to conceive or have a child or look for a baby to be adopted. Instead of terminating a pregnancy, offering these couple support in having a baby and giving it up for adoption and also being able to look after them and nurture them and give a future to the baby. Adoption can provide a family for the baby and the children. Adoption provides the babies and children with a family.

A woman does indeed have a lot of option to avoid childbirth and one of the main options is birth control. Birth control is effective at preventing childbirth by 99 %. Birth control may also include condoms, contraceptive pills, injections, implanon and many more options. If females are sexually active or have partners and want to avoid pregnancy, they could still use any of these options, if they are uncertain, they can get some advice and get the best option for them to support them and be quick. Birth control can prevent a lot of unplanned pregnancies and can also give you time to think about if you want to have a baby or not and if you are ready to have a baby. Birth control can stop you from having babies for 3 months, 6 months or even up to 3 years and more information about these birth control periods can be given by your GP.

Most women face unplanned pregnancy and it is not always easy to determine what to do. For unplanned pregnancy there will always be support and counselling, however not all women want or need counselling, but some find it helpful to talk to a professional counsellor. Some females wish to continue their pregnancy and then become a mother, while the others will consider having an abortion since they are not financially stable or are not able to take care of the baby or want it at Unplanned pregnancies can sometimes be difficult to make you unfamiliar with what you should be doing and therefore the only option that comes to mind is abortion, but speaking to a friend or family and see if they can help you make a healthier choice or talk to a support team can also provide you with a lot of information about what steps you can take and what can be done towards unplanned pregnancies.

Abortion is sometimes an option, for example, they are in an abusive relationship or have been sexually assaulted, pregnancy is risky and dangerous to their health, the unborn baby will not survive the pregnancy or suffer from it after birth. Yet, they should not have an abortion as they are taking an innocent life that hasn’t got a change to come into the world. Abortion should not even be considered in the first place as the baby is not getting a chance to life. If they are not wanting the baby, they can also give the baby for adoption for another family to take care of the child.

Abortion will not always be the one and only pregnancy or unplanned pregnancy option. There are several other choices or other actions that can be taken such as adoption co-parenting and many more. If the situation of being pregnant is confusing and is unsure about it, there is also a lot of help that are available such as counsellor or friend or family. Pregnancy isn’t a journey that a woman should do alone, there is plenty of help and any of these support systems will be willing to help make the best decision there is for the fetus and the mother and avoid abortion. There is a choice to give your baby the life by looking at adoption and giving the child up for adoption for a family to take care of the baby instead of having an abortion.
