Jane Goodall: she worked as the primatologist celebrated while she releasing her book “Seeds of Hope”. The book contains the knowledge about the study of chimps in the wild. While writing the book she takes some material from different books, web sites, without giving credit to the original authors. Goodall borrows different phrases or an entire paragraphs. Example as, in march, an article is in Washington Post detailed that the new book “Seeds of Hope: Wisdom and Wonderf from the World of Plants” is taken from undefined source such as Wikipedia and other. After that Goodall said in an e-mail, “and I am distressed to discover that some of the excellent and valuable sources were not properly cited, and I want to express my sincere apologies. I hope it is obvious that my objective was to learn as much as I could so that I could provide straightforward factual information distilled from a wide range of reliable sources.” Taking passages without attribution the publishers of the books, Grand Central who was the publisher he surprised and said in an e-mail “we have not formulated a detailed plan beyond crediting the sources in subsequent releases.” Then finally for the publication of books she had to made changes in text and give proper citation to text’s where it from. The main reason for occurring this case is showing dishonesty, stealing someone ideas and lack of proper text-cited. Because of accused of plagiarism the reputation of the goodall also effected badly in society.

H.Gilbert Welch: A prominent health policy expert at Dartmouth College and fired after being accused of plagiarizing because he use the work of the other professors for publishing to the journal. In 2016, the New England Journal of medical published a paper of welch and their three colleagues about the benefits of breast cancer screenings. Professor name Samir Soneji blamed that welch failed to give credit to him. But welch wrote that “I cannot in good conscience accept the demand that I make the complainant an author–much less the demand that I make him the first author,” Welch do not give the appropriate credit to Soneji. Finally, the college said that Welch committed plagiarism after full of investigation. Welch wrote an email to resignation he said “this is an authorship/credit dispute- not research misconduct or plagiarism.”

In conclusion of this case the journal confirmed the views of Welch, writing in an email “we concluded that this was an authorship dispute, not ‘idea plagiarism,’ as Dartmouth had found.” The best ways to avoid the plagiarism is to give the appropriate credit to someone who deserve it, due to their work. In this era the plagiarism is the offence and it’s destroy the career of famous people. Most of the cases plagiarism are punishable by large amount of fines.
