The name Oxfam comes from the Oxford committee for famine relief. The first committee campaigned for food supplies to be sent down to Greece to starving women and children during World War II. Oxfam grew rapidly through the years as people wanted to be a part of something inspiring. Oxfam is becoming a world leader in delivery emergency care to people around the world. Oxfam has a positive outlook on the years to come and the organization is a part of other campaigns such as the climate change movement, bettering education and health care, unfair trade rules and many more.
