At present day Hospitality industry is a most important industry in the world. This industry also effects the growth of nation. These industries also affect Economic condition of nation. The word Hospitality means providing meal, drinks or accommodation. Hospitality industry starts in 16-17th century in 1800-1900th Hotels was established. Also royalhotel was built in London. In hotel industry there are many type of business like coffee shop, bar, room service etc. Hotels are also one star, two star, three star, four star, five star, six star also seven star.

History of Hospitality Industry

In 16-17th century this is known as hospitality industry. Hotels in France established in 18-19th century. Hotels are established in Europe, England and America also. In 1800 Royal hotels was made in London in 20th century, 1919 the hotel Barcelona Ritz had rooms attached with bathroom with hot and cold water. Hotels are also built near to airports.

Importance of Hospitality Industry

The word Hospitality means proving meals like breakfast, lunch, dinner to customer and guests and providing accommodation. Hospitality industries also effect the growth of nation and economic condition. Rather than these industries provide a lot of job opportunities. Hospitality is a very important for both the guest and the hotel entrepreneur. Every guest expects and deserves hospitable treatment. It is also important in hotel industry. Tourism industry is the main industry of any nation. It is also effected the growth and economy of any nation. So in this way Nepal has also taken tourism industry as a major income source. Tourism industry also creates job opportunities. It provides jobs for unskilled, Semi- Skilled and skilled person. Tourism industry is the source of income as well as public or private sector. Also tourism industry provides cultural exchange, different type of language people have learned. Tourism gives opportunity to people of various cultures to assimilate together. It helps the local people to get in touch with the people and country. It also helps building international relations. It encourages the learning of new languages and skills. Tourism related funds have contributed towards schools being built in some areas. It also encourages community beautification and revitalization.

Every person has its own responsibilities. Hotel manager job is very tough job manager has to do a lot of sales work during his job. In a hotel our first purpose to make our guests or customer happy. Also in hotel industries is staff shortage. In this industries staff turnover is double than other industries. This is biggest problem of this industry. In this industry also security problem like: -

• Armed robbery
• Credit card fraud
• Identity theft
• Risk of food poisoning

Recommendation:

- I recommend some solutions to overcome these problems. For example to overcome manpower problem if I am a manager of a hotel I hiring some partiers and making some shard shifts to avoid long working hours. To feel every customer happy and good treat all guests like a celebrity. For security issues for we have been CCTV camera at important place so because of these changes we can make hotel industry good and happy.
