This gas makes heat from the sun trapped in the earth’s atmosphere so that the temperature on the earth’s surface is getting high. There are vast amounts of human activities that produced this gas emission, such as using many vehicles and burning also logging the forest. All of those have changed our earth and impacted our life. Not only the human that has already affected because of this but also the animals. They lost their home, they lost their family, and they lost their hope to live any longer. It will be worse if we do not do any action to stop that. It is not too late. We should make a movement to fix that. We still have a chance to restore the earth to the initial state before the earth does itself. Some ways already happened right now and it is effective such as reducing the usage of the motor vehicle and doing reforestation.

First of all, reducing the usage of fossil fuels and vehicles is very good for our air environment. According to Kimberly Nicholas, a sustainable science researcher at Lund University in Sweden, “Driving and aviation are the main contributors to emissions from transportation, which is 72% and 11% of greenhouse gases and emissions.” Based on this data, many vehicles that used fossil fuels will produce a massive value of gas emission. This gas emission will affect air levels and cause air pollution. Lately, most of the countries in the world are enacting lockdown in their country due to Covid-19. Many people are not allowed to leave home and stay there. It makes the utilization of vehicles around the world is decreasing. Lockdown gives us evidence about real conditions if we reduce the usage of vehicles. We can see the sky more clearly and breath the fresh air again. After the lockdown is over, we have to keep this condition. We need to try not to use our vehicle to minimize gas emissions. It will be great if people use public transportation, there will be no more pollution because of the excess of vehicles. Imagine, there are 30 people who usually use their car to go to their office, and there are 30 people used a big bus to go to the same place. Which one is the most effective to help removing the gas emission? Thirty cars can produce more gas emissions compared to a big bus. Fewer vehicles, fewer usage of fossil fuels, fewer gas emissions also we produced.

Furthermore, since we take advantage of the forest too much, such as logging the wood to make new lands and papers, the state of this earth is out of balance. It is very critical because of there no more absorber for gas emission again. Forest also the place for many animals to live. They are living and finding food there. If we always do the deforestation, can we imagine how many creatures that will be tortured? Stop deforestation and start reforestation to reduce the effect of climate change. Professor Tom Crowther at ETH-Zürich said, “Our study shows clearly that forest restoration is the best climate change solution available today and it provides hard evidence to justify investment.” Reforestation has become the best solution because it brings back our natural support and our natural counterweight. The support gives us oxygen and the counterweight absorbs the gas emissions on the atmospheres. We should start reforestation as soon as possible. It does not rule out the possibility that climate change will ruin our life. We must plant trees as much as we can, not we want because it is an obligation. Before it is getting late and we regret it due to nature takes back everything that is its. Planting trees to fight climate change will not harm us. It is crucial for our life continuity. By planting more trees, we can rebuild the nature system that we have already destroyed.

The state of the earth is not working commonly and many sides have been harmed. We cannot let this problem and be an indifferent person. We have a responsibility for the next generation. We still have an opportunity to overcome it. We should take a step to limit the more effect from climate change. By lowering the usage of vehicles and fossil fuels also planting trees again, we can recover the impact of climate change. Slowly, gas emissions will decrease along with the reduced number of vehicles. The trees will renew the air because it converts the gas emission into oxygen. No air pollution because the gas emission makes the heat from the sun can get back to the outside of the earth’s atmosphere, not trapped anymore. The temperature and the natural system will go back to normal. Now, we have to decide. Do we want our children to live in agony because of the effect of climate change that we have made? Or do we want our children to live happily with the good earth condition after we left? It is for our future, think and act carefully.
