If they had trouble registering you, sometimes you would have to sleep in the baggage room overnight. These are just some of the problems early immigrants faced. In the story, 'American Wings', the boy had no idea that his name was changed. Could you imagine having your name changed, not even knowing? These people had to deal with so many problems. They deserved to be treated better. In this essay, I will tell why I think they were treated like this and how they could have been treated better.
Immigrants faced so many challenges, that I can't even list them all here. One major problem they face is the borders. The long hours of waiting to become registered as a US citizen, therefore, can cause people to take illegal routes to get inside the U.S. Another main focus is religious. Religion is a huge thing in America. There was a girl named, Rifqa Bary, who moved from Sri Lanka to America. Rifqa was a Muslim one day she went to church with a friend one day. She converted to Christianity. When she converted the Muslim religion hated her. They told her father if he did not get rid of her, they would. She has been on the run ever since. Religion is a huge problem in today's society. If you are not a certain religion people could be killed, bullied, or even put in prison. Immigrants who are a different religion who come to America risk everything to come to a new world. Many immigrants that move to America, have trouble getting jobs. Without having the experience, or not even going to college, is difficult to get a job. Nevertheless, immigrants coming to America face many challenges.
In conclusion, immigrants face too many challenges coming to America. Immigrants move to America to get a better life, however, they get a worse life then they expected. They deserve to have a nice life. Nevertheless, they are human, and they needed to be treated like it. Immigrants in the past had to face more problems than the immigrants now, nevertheless, they still have to face many problems. If we all work together to get rid of these problems, we can.
