Importance Of Sustainability In Business
It is believed that sustainability will lead to financial pay-offs. It is not necessary that every sustainable business must make profits. The investors who support the business may be a part of bad companies and they may be forced to carryout poor maintainable strategy. They can miss lead the organization with unrelated data or fake promises which may lead to lose of customer and quality of product which affects the name of company.
To avoid such loss in business, company should invest in better and profitable projects that are being well monitored by the recognized companies.
According to my research, in countries like India and Bangladesh there has been immense increase in social inequalities. These inequalities have much affected to people who do not have proper jobs, education, minorities etc., organization should make special lines to develop agriculture, invest in women education, helping for a hygienic living etc., will help a business to grow stable and have good recognition in the market. However, not all organization across the nation invest in such sustainable developments goals but few companies from countries like Latin America, Africa and Middle east believe in investing their money and time in sustainable development goals of society which is a great.
A well know fact that should also be focus on in today’s corporate world is gender equality. Any organization should target on ending discrimination between gender weather it is male, female or transgender. They all shall be provided with equal opportunities to work and execute their skill which can not give them recognition but also to the organization. For example: I still remember my first day at job as a trainer. I was given a group of 25 people to train for their job profile. I was amazed with my company Wells Fargo who was fair enough to hire female employee and employees from LGBT community. They not only extended their hand to support women employment but also LGBT who can be given better platform to prove their talents in every field. This prove to me that Wells Fargo is a committed towards having a justified business in the market and society.
This will help to create a belief in society that they are also being profited by the business in market.
As we all know that water and good hygiene is must for the betterment of environment. Scarcity of water affects major population across the world. Organizations should also focus on this goal as this is the base for any other goals that a business might adapt.
