Ineffective Construction Of Metro In Bangalore

Bangalore has a lot of people and the population has grown a lot in the last five to six years. Bangalore is not a very big city when compared to other cities in India, but the population is very high. When there are a lot of people living in the city there is always a need for them to travel from one part of the city to the other part. For travelling people use own transport like cars, bikes or public transport like bus, metro rail etc. In Bangalore, bus service is very good but due to the traffic situations there is always delay while using bus. Hence Metro rail is needed for better transportation.

Now in Bangalore metro service is called NAMMA METRO and has started functioning in some areas and it is still under construction in most of the areas. As only few areas are connected by metro not many people in the city are using metro transport and the areas are not connected end to end. Bangalore is a very wide spread city and hence connecting all the areas in Bangalore will take lot of time. Now metro construction is going on in most of the parts of the city and many roads have been narrowed down because of this. As the roads are narrowed there has been increase of traffic. This is causing lot of problems for the people that are travelling by road. Because of metro construction it is almost taking twice the time to reach the destination.

Metro rail construction is going on very slow in the city and the roads are not properly constructed. There are lot of potholes in the road that are caused by metro construction which is increasing the traffic jams. Because of the construction lot of lorries and goods vehicle are travelling in the city which is also causing traffic. Also, there is delay in metro construction because of the weather situation like rain and wind. Therefore, there is a need to finish the metro construction as early as possible.

Government can use techniques like making the metro workers to work day and night in shifts to finish the construction faster. Also, new metro rail routes should be planned in such a way that all parts of the city should be covered like IT Hubs, Airport, bus stands, railway stations, famous tourist places, markets, shopping malls etc. When all the parts of the city are covered most of the people will use metro and road traffic will become less. When metro is used people can reach destination within less time.

Also, parking facility should be provided at the metro stations so that people can park their vehicles at the metro stations and they can use the metro rail. Frequency of the metro trains should also be increased so that the trains will be less crowded. The cost of using metro rails service should be cost effective and affordable for all the people. By following the above suggestions metro will be a very good success in Bangalore. Let us all hope it will work out like this.
