Pros And Cons Of The Progression In Our Society
Society, it changes all day every day everything around us, we are constantly advancing in new terms of modern medicine and technology regardless if you happen to agree with it or not it will change. In classrooms, doctor offices, and work. We are society who is constantly progressing. I for one enjoy the fact that we are constantly advancing with every new year we go through. It makes find some cures we never thought we would have for simple illness that would kill off hundreds of people just simply a few years ago, It also helps some kids who have learning defects learn in a new way that cater to their needs, and finally it also helps us as humans advance in things that we do and make our lives easier.
A few decades ago we used to have hundreds of people die over a common cold. This simple virus would actually wipe out so much of our human race. A few years into the future modern medicine has found a way to turn that virus against itself and protect of us from getting so sick that we passed. Even though we have not found a cure for some illnesses we have come such a far way in not only medicine but also different devices to help learn and see things to catch and prevent people from dying. A few decades ago we did not have the MRI which allows us to look into people’s brain and other parts of the body to figure out what was causing some people to die off or have such pain. Now we are able to look in humans brain and other parts of body to find out if someone happened to have a deadly tumor and be able to catch it and get rid of it before the person died from it.
Not only has our society advanced in the modern medicine but also in our classrooms. Younger kids now are able to watch videos that might explain a certain topic in a way their teacher didn't to be able to understand it just a little bit better. Some kids may have a social disability where they may feel uncomfortable being in big crowds or just being around people in general. I for one know I do not like being in such big crowds and sometimes even feel sick just getting out of bed and having to go in the real world on some days it does get that bad and that's something kids have to deal with and if you are not one of those people you may find it hard to understand why some kids do what they do to avoid having to be around people.
On the other hand now with our technology advancing in way we never thought possible those kids who have actual fears of having to get up and go face people who may bully them or just in all make them feel sick to have to be around can get their education they so importantly need to move on in life in their own pace and or comfort of their own home without being distracted of their internal fears. Now our society advancing is such a wonderful thing in my opinion it also has it's down side. Such as some kids may pay more attention to their phones then what they have to do or play their video games longer than they should and not get enough sleep and be tired the next morning and slugish. Put that aside though there has been some amazing inventions you may take for granted that we thought at one point was impossible such as the simple light bulb. Yes decades ago we thought years into the future we would still be using candles as our main source of light but now it's just a simple switch and your room and house is now lit. Not only a simple invention as such has made our lives so much better but also when it's freezing cold outside and you get into your house and it's still cold inside what's the first thing you do?
That's right go an turn that heat on and get all cozy, back then we were not able to just do that you had to stay in the cold even longer face getting hypothermia just to go get some fire wood make a fire to only last a couple hours then go out and do it again. Not only has our society advanced in some ways you may not think is such a good thing but all in all we have made such amazing things we never thought possible and living lives we never thought we could.
In conclusion I do believe that the progression in our society is a good thing from modern medicine to children learning and just imply making our lives easier with the simplest of inventions. Regardless if you happen to agree with my statements or not I'm sure you do feel lucky every day that your children, brothers, sisters, parents, and friends are not slowly dying off by the common cold or just something doctors were not able to detect in time and be able to help. That our children are ably to learn in such ways that help them grasp some concepts or just simply get their education in a way that help them feel more comfortable and safe. Or just the little things we may take advantage of that we did not have years ago to make our lives so much easier to get through.
