Leaders of Fascism in 1930s
Fascism is when you put the state or a certain race above the individual which is led by a dictator. Fascism when practiced does not work nearly as well as many dictators have thought and always ends in a horrible fashion and leave the state in shambles. Fascism when performed is not the best policy to run your state on and can be relatively evil with racism oppression and freedom basically abolished. Many world powers have used fascism to run their state Hitler and Mussolini are two main people who ran a fascist type of government. They promised easy solutions for complicated problems. Charismatic leaders who seem larger than life always end up leading the way of a fascist government. They always promise jobs, food, and houses basically a fully functional and superior economy for their people but it never works out that way. Instead, the charismatic leader ends up using censorship, threats, and false promises to keep everyone somewhat satisfied and in check. Mussolini and Hitler are great examples of what I have just described. They got to power by manipulation and kept their power through fear.
Hitler was a German dictator and gained his rank in 1933. He promised insanely simple solutions to difficult problems about the economy promising homes and jobs for every German citizen that fit the criteria of being a perfect German and blamed all of Germany's problems and downfalls on the Jewish people and communists claiming fascism was the best way to run a society. His solution was to get rid of all the Jewish people and all of Germany’s problems would be fixed. Hitler gained his rank by promising this and he delivered by putting every Jewish person he could find into a prison camp where they worked until they died. He also delivered on his promise of jobs and housing of every German. Hitler abolished the union and created the fascist working force and improved the working rate by 30% from 1933 to 1936. Although Hitler did do many great things for the people of Germany, he controlled all media and made it seem as if he was not killing millions of Jewish people hiding his evil. All of Germany believed Adolf Hitler to be a great man and nothing less because of the perception he led through the media and constantly smashing it into people's heads that he was fantastic and that the state was fantastic. If you were to speak against Hitler, you were thrown into prison camps along with the Jewish people where you were worked until you died. In Germany, you were not allowed to not like Hitler and if you didn’t then you were sure to die. Hitler believed himself to be a god and the people believed it to. His powerful speeches imposing military and taking Germany from a defeated country to a world power the German people were encapsulated by the perception he had. That was up until he lost WW2 and killed himself on April 30, 1945, that is when the German people learned who he really was and what Germany really was.
Mussolini was the prime minister of Italy from 1922 to 1943 and the Duce of Italy from 1925-1943. Like Hitler, he promised insanely high promises to his people which encapsulated his people making him seem like he had all the answers. He manipulated all of Italy promising to restore them back to their prior glory. Mussolini was not as good of a public speaker as Hitler, but people still erupted in rounds and rounds of applause. People did this because of the fear of his secret police and the fear that if you were the last to clap you may be murdered for Mussolini’s secret police was heavy-handed if you even thought of Mussolini as anything less than godly then you were most likely going to be killed or if he thought that you were possibly conspiring you would be kidnapped and most likely murdered. It wasn’t uncommon to wake up and have your neighbor mysteriously disappear without a trace. For the people of Italy to survive, they had to love Mussolini, or they would die. Mussolini did do what he promised he would do after WW1 Italy was in shambles and Mussolini cleaned it up but at the expense of his people. His people soon had enough after they were starving and were in WW2 for no apparent reason the people of Italy Hung Mussolini by the feet and ended his reign on April 28, 1945. The people of Italy were finally free of their dictator and free of the terror his reign caused.
Fascism is evil when practiced and always ends horribly with the people manipulated and in fear and an all-powerful leader sitting at the top doing whatever they felt. The citizens were pushed to the bottom of the barrel and the state is the only thing that mattered. The living conditions for any on person were horrible and the citizens had no choice but to live in fear of their life every day. For the reasons I have stated above fascism is evil.
