Life and Career Achievements of 'Lightning Bolt'

Usain bolt was born in Sherwood content in Jamaica on August 21,1986 by his parents Wellesley and Jennifer Bolt. He had two siblings named Sadiki and Sherine. Bolt loved to play cricket and football during his kid days with his brother Sadiki. Many coaches started to noticed how talented Usain Bolt was naturally with his speed. 

In 2001 bolt won his first championship medal at just the age of 14, At 15 bolt won the silver medal in the 200-meter dash .Usain Bolt placed first in the 200 meter dash winning the gold metal being the youngest in the 2002 World Junior championships in Kingston, Jamaica. At such a young age the track star Usain Bolt or you can say “lightning bolt” as people soon started to call him set a record of 9.59s for the 100m and received a outstanding award called the “international association of athletics foundation rising star award. Despite a hamstring injury, Usain Bolt was named to Jamaica's Olympic team for the 2004 Athens Games. Due to his injury, he was disqualified in the first round of the 200 meters. In 2005 and 2006, Bolt was ranked in the top five athletes in the world. Unfortunately, the injuries did not stop there, He won't be able to complete a full professional season because of this. In 2007, Bolt broke Donald Quarrie's 30-year national 200-meter record and won two silver medals at the World Championships in Osaka, Japan. These medals inspired Usain to work even harder, so he stepped up his game.

Lightning Bolt competed in the 100-meter and 200-meter dashes at the 2008 Beijing Summer Olympics. He smashed the world record in the 100-meter final leading up to the Games, winning in 9.69 seconds. He went on to win three gold medals and set three world records. Bolt earned his fourth Olympic gold medal in the men's 100-meter dash at the 2012 Summer Olympic Games in London, defeating his rival Yohan Blake, who took silver. He set a new Olympic record by winning the race in 9.63 seconds. Bolt won his second gold medal in the 100 meters dash. He then competed in the men's 200 meters, winning his second gold medal in that event. He was the first man to win both the 100 and 200 meters at the same Olympic Games, as well as the first man to ever win back to back gold medals in sprints. Bolt is the first man in history to set three world records in a single Olympic Games competition thanks to his achievements.

In general, Usain Bolt or “Lightning Bolt” became famous due to his achievements as an athlete and his talent. He was the first person to win 100 and 200 meters during one Olimpics Game. He was one of the few Jamaicans who became famous all over the world.
