The Modern Citizen: Responsibility in a Globalized World

What does it mean to be a responsible citizen of the Internet? I will answer this question within responsible citizen essay. 

I think that being a responsible citizen means showing some respect to the internet. It means to know the websites that we are visiting and making sure it is a right website to visit. We should make sure that we know if the news are right or wrong. We should always make sure that the website we are visiting is a real one and not the fake one. some people cheat with fake news by posting it in the Facebook and all.

We also should be a responsible citizen by making sure our privacy is not seen by the others. We should always be careful of writing comment on somebody’s posting. We should also make our passwords with more specific so that the hackers and other people don’t know our passwords. Some people hack our passwords and they can do many things to other people through our account. When we are posting something in the internet we should first see what will the other people think.

People are now using photoshops and making the pictures look like real but some are not. The apps are becoming more powerful that people can even change our picture into a fake one. Once there was a fake news that Roman Reign was dead but he wasn’t dead. People are able to make such fake news that can change the minds of the other people. Whenever we post something in the internet we should post the one that are good to hear for the other people and that inspires other people. But nowadays people insult each other and they always post the negative ones.

We need to be careful these days because some people call to our numbers and they say something to impress us. For example, they will tell us that we have won a ticket of 500$. And when some one tells us something like that, we are really happy. Then they will ask for something like our account number and if we give them, there is a chance that they might take our cash from the bank. People have become like this now. And there is a process known as “visual effects” that make our videos in to a real ones even if we didn’t do anything.

So we need to be a responsible citizen of the internet. And we need to post everything that are good for others to hear and never post anything negative. And we should keep in mind that there are people who hack our passwords so make it more specific.
